Nightmare Lockbox duration

Hey everyone

Just curious, picking up these lockboxes, how long will it last or is it a permanent thing in the game unlike the tymoras gift box?

    Lockboxes are a permanent feature, although the Contents may change over time.

    Thanks jor, which brings me to the mount you can get in this lockbox, does that have a time limit and if it will change some time in the future, I am sure they will notify us well in advance?

    They have similar lockboxes in their other games like Star Trek Online & what tends to happen is that a new box will be released when a new module/expansion is and they will start to drop instead of the older ones.

    The older boxes will still exist and the items still claimable but they will not drop anymore so become quite valuable.

    The lockbox and the content are permanent, or at least supposed to be. (permanent is a very long time. What happens in a few years is anyone's guess, including the developers.) The gift-boxes you can get are only this weekened, though. Not sure if they are still in the game, for that matter. And yes, if they are going to change big things like this, they will tell us in advance. The question is if people reads it.

    I used to play Marvel Heroes. They announced well ahead that they *might* have to reroll the servers due to a hack, and a few days later, they had to do the rollback. Funnily, a lot of people complained about loosing stuff because of it, having completely ignored the warning they got in advance and every since until the rollback. People only read what they want to hear, sometimes.

    Does that mean that when today the event ends, Tymora's Gift Box will not be openable or will dissapear?

    According to ladymythos it wills till be openable, makes sense. Thanks for all the feedback

    Yeah, you should be able to open the gifts, but they won't drop anymore for now. But we'll probably get a new event later where they drop again. The lockboxes will strill drop, of course. The only thing is they might be updated later, in which case the old ones might not drop. But that's down the line, and for all we know, they updated boxes might have the same loot with some small variations.
