transfer companions from character to character

Hello guys.

I know this is old news, but recently i started to reroll one of my characters, yet the companions i wanted to transfer i need to unbind (one of them being the ghost purchased by 20 bucks on store), but even though the system gives me the message with the cost in AD to unbind it, it is not woking and the companion is stuck on my old character.

Can you guys please fix the unbinding companion problem on the next patch? Or at least make the store pets be the same as the store mounts, and claimable by every character on account, they are expensive enough for that.

I dont believe this is old news , there are 100's of posts on the forums about this and there as never been given a clear answer.

The unbinding system was suposed to have been implemented somtime after it finaly when live, but nothing ever happened and nothing was ever said about it either.
It does seem very confusing that the option and even the AD cost is available even though the system does not actualy work, which adds to even more confusion for many many people.

The understanding i have got up to now is it is not going to be introduced, bsasicaly from PWE's point of veiw they would prefere to sell more Zen store comapnions, which they are doing, and even seem to be introducing more new ones every few weeks.

I do agree with you though, you and many 1000's of people have already paid, in real money for the companions, and in my opinion this companion 'unbinding' system should at least be available to the many people like yourself who have purchased companions from the Zen store and you should be at the very least be able to transfere them to another character on the account.

This said, i think this will be very unlikly due to there zen shop sales, which i think is totaly wrong, and again why have the options in the game, it just confuses people.
I also think you will find that everything PWE as said they will do or say they will fix even from way back in Beta, they usualy tend to do the exsact opposite in the end, Everything anounced and advertised way back in the open beta weekends all about what there goals for the game were and what there plans for future content would be , including the companion unbinding and also alot more new features yet none of this as ever happened, now the game is live, it seems all the old ideas and thinking about the game as totaly changed completely, now its all about them making money everybody can see that.

They actualy made a statemnent that is on these forums somewere concerning the Companion rank upgrade system, stating that the idea was to make it so people could instead of having to buy a new companion, could upgrade the ranks of there exsisting lower ones for very little AD outlay, but if you check the recent new patch on preview you will see that the upgrade system as been implemented, but the cost to upgrade a 'white' comapanion to Epic (lvl 30) is way over 1 milion AD !! and you can buy a new companion form the Zen store for a great deal less AD after you have converted it into Zen.

Nothing makes sence from the players point of veiw, all the economy and vendor prices are way way out of balance, take the mount rank upgrade tombs, which you can buy in the Enclave,

To rank a 'white' horse up to a epic rank, with 110% speed costs, around 2.4 milion AD !!! the very same price you could buy not 1 but 3 epic inferno nightmare mounts from the Auction house for and still have some change left over.

Sorry for the wall of text , but i understand were you are coming from, i too have paid out for companions and mounts too, i have 3 Ioun stones on my account and the Tiger mount, paid for with cash too

Another problem is that when you compare, the difference between buying a t3 mount and a t3 companion is 0, both things have the same costs involved (30+ bucks) yet at least mounts are claimable by every account character, the companions arent.

So if we want a store companion on one character, either we buy another (i wont buy another 20 dollars ghost just for a reroll character, be sure of that cryptic) or they fix the transfer companion which is there to be fixed for quite a while and nothing was done about it.

Even bags of holding that are way cheaper are transferable.

And such a minor thing as making this system work should not be taking this long, nor would it take that much work, so if they really are delaying this to milk as much money as they can from players with the store companions, they may as well forget it, nobody is dumb enough to buy a 30 dollar companion for every character they have (at least i hope so).

I agree with you completely zen store companions should be account wide as the mounts are. Or if they are to be ‘per’ character they should be at least 50% cheaper to purchase.

Another big issue I have found is most items on the Zen store are more than likely to have been purchased using ‘real’ money, thus involving customer consumer rights. But there is no disclaimer to state that what you actually purchase may not be what you actually receive.
You would think once you had purchased something clearly advertised to work and look a certain way, then that would be it, that’s how it would stay, but this is not the case.

From my own experience a point in case, the ‘tiger’ mount, which I did buy with ‘real’ money, and at first was very happy with ( account wide too lol )
However 3 days after my purchase a patch was implemented to fix bugs, which in fact did not fix anything, just broke even more things in the game.
In this patch, instead of actually spending time to fix in game issues, was a so called fix for the Tiger mount , supposedly they said to make it look cosmetically better ( although there was absolutely nothing wrong with it at all to start with
) which as soon as I read it rang alarm bells, it just did not seem right that after 100’s if not 1000’s of people had purchased a item that they could change it , but apparently not the case.
Anyways I logged on to take a look at what they had actually done to a item I had recently purchased, at first it looked exactly the same stood still, but when moving the character does not now actually sit on the mount, which it did before, now all my characters ‘float’ above it and don’t actually sit down on it anymore, it looks totally stupid and is defiantly NOT what I paid for.

If you purchase a new car from a dealership and returned it for its first service and on return to pick it up found they had changed the colour, wheels etc etc as ‘they’ thought it looked better, I think you would have something to say about it, and would legally have some rights to complain and have action taken against them.
But it seems with PWE they can do basically anything they want and it is just tuff for the paying customer

This is something I am currently looking into at present as it is obviously wrong, and leaves them wide open to ‘mess’ around with anything in game including purchases with ‘real’ money. To extreme they could ‘chop’ one leg off your mounts and say they think it looks better, lol

I asked about it 2 weeks ago to support, they replied extremely quickly, which was unusual.

    My question:

OK from going to the forums and asking around in game.
The cat and galeb duhr are only redeemable on 1 character?
I bind the cat by accident onto my main character when it was for an alt.

Are all bind/bought characters locked to only 1 character..?
We understand, but unfortunately if that is their function, then there is nothing we can do for you at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi guys, I agree too concerning the Zen store companions.

Also I too have the tiger mount, bought with real money and I too am now very unhappy with my purchase post the ‘cosmetic fix’ patch , the mount does now look stupid on the move, it was perfect pre patch, everything looked fine.

As for the per character companions and account wide mounts, PWE are obviously aiming at the new ‘green’ players who do not know as yet how exactly everything works, it is all about making as much money as possible from these players from the start before they get ‘wise’, then its too late, PWE have there cash .

I have a friend currently looking into the ‘Foundry packs’ concerning how they was hyped and advertised pre ‘live’ launch as being totally ‘exclusive’ with ‘exclusive’ contents to those who purchase it pre launch.

It was clearly stated you would be one of few players after launch with the ‘exclusive’ spider mount and special companion, it also clearly stated this pack would not be available after ‘live’ launch, and at 200 bucks, was expensive to start with , but with everything being ‘exclusive’ when purchased pre launch made it sound more appetizing.

Anyway, my point, After launch what happened ?
The very same pack , with all the very same supposedly ‘exclusive’ items with it, continued to be sold, and is STILL available today, ALL they did was rename the pack to the ‘Hero of the North’ and remove the ‘founder’ title. You still get the so called ‘exclusive’ spider mount and the special companion. In fact the whole pack is exactly the same bar the title.

Hi , sorry to hear about your problem, and i'm sure alot of people have done the same thing as you have,

Very suprised you got such a fast reply to your ticket, even though it does not actualy give any advise or help, it might as well, just say " ha ha tuff ****, we have got you money now, thanks"

As you will notice they dont even reply with a clear exsplanation of how the mount or companions from the Zen store work, In fact everything in the whole game is never actualy explained clearly, which is why they can just 'chop' and 'change' things as they wish.

LoL , It makes me laugh somtimes, with some of the recent 'fix's' they have not actualy fixed anything, they just change the tooltips to fit better with the bugged item, and leave it bugged.

First, and last, game made by PWE that I'll play.
I've seen such a greedy side, and as you say, they cant fix things so they change the tooltips instead...
