When did we get Skirmish Masters?

Made a new character (Rogue, only class I haven't tried yet), and noticed the Skirmish Master in Blacklake District.

Thanks Cryptic! Seriously, one of the most requested features from the playerbase, a way to do skirmishes after you outlevel the Queue for them.

was this announced, or was this a stealth-add?

either way, thanks a bunch, and does this mean that Epic Skirmishes might be on the to-do list?

    Never, not a feature that exists.

    Less you're talking about the test server, in which case screenshot please, and what level did you run the skirmish?

    note a few skirmishes always had npc's that let you queue for them via a link, but its just a link that does the exact same thing the k screen does. They won't allow you to queue above level.

    Blacklake in addition to being missable and be tied with a missable achievement, also adds some extra insult that is has a quest tied to the skirmish (which gives essentially next to nothing for reward, helping encourage you to permanently miss that content). Its one of only two skirmishes that do that.

    They did add a "Skirmish Master" to blacklake. On the regular server. Instead of going to an NPC by the alchemist, the Skirmish Master (and the quest) is right buy the entrance to the area. You can just go by there to see it.

    I recall Aelgar the Fierce being relabelled as a skirmish master in the Tower District, but I must have missed that my last run through Blacklake. Do you know if there are any others? I just cleared Pirates' Skyhold and saw no skirmish master there, but I was hideously overleveled so that might be why....

    There was always a npc for the skirmish. Just logged in to check: Seems they simply moved her and gave her a title. No other changes - she still stupidly gives my lvl 60 a quest I cannot complete no matter how badly I want to.

    My post was mainly referring more to the fact running skirmishes above level as the OP mention - is not a possible thing. I've tried to queue via the npcs above level - you just get an error message. (and actually this so called "master" doesn't even present you with the link that some of the higher level ones do, fail master I guess).

    Related:
    They did put a "orc assault" skirmish for levels 1-60 on the preview server. Not sure if thats an epic version of orc assault, a new skirmish entirely or what. It's named slightly different than the lowbie one. And course wasn't able to test it since was no one really on. Anyone manage to check that?

    There is a Skirmish-related NPC in:
    Blacklake (now located right to your left the moment you zone in) - grants a quest.
    Tower District - 2nd camp opposite the main quest givers - grants a quest.
    Black Dagger - final camp. No quest - but offers a link to auto-queue
    after those 3 is skips a lot of zones.. Next one i believe is:
    Icespire Frozen Peak: 2nd or 3rd camp iirc. Think he only explains about the skirmish, not much else.
    Mount Hotenow - 2nd camp near the camp. No quest, offers a link to to battle for the bridge queue.

    So yea, not all zones have a npc that explains a skirmish even exists. Though all zones have a skirmish except neverdeath graveyard (Which also lacks a dungeon).

    yeah I actually went back to the Skirmish Master npc.

    very disappointed.

    way to get my hopes up Cryptic.
