well I will take it. But still I truly contend its useless. Its not backed by any items ppl want badly.

Its like **** american currency... I am trying to convert it to boxes, then to AD, then to zen, so that I don't spend my valued american currencies...

It's mainly only used to pay for maintenance, injury kits potions etc. Not much else, though you really only have to use it at level 60, that being said how useful gold is to you is really more a matter of how much you die, potions aren't too pricey but injury kits can be.

well maybe I am just an amazing pro hero rock star that never dies? But it just piles up. And right now ppl are using it like seashells as currency and I am interested to see if that can be maintained. Real life money is much the same so perhaps. But at least at the start ppl were like wtf your gold is not backed with bars of gold? ...yeah I don't need any than rly thx.

Gold is mainly used to buy potions and kits at level 60 for Epic DDs. Spuishy classes, like TRs and CWs, buy a lot. Less squishy buy less. Still very handy to have gold on you. Some people are so hard up for gold they'd rather sell their T2 Very Rare loot for gold instead of AD.

my prediction is the value of gold will crash and lockboxes will start costing 100 each. That is unless they make something for skilled players that don't die every other attempt to fight a mob to spend it on... But I do think there is some chance gold will have value simply cause we agree it does and is conveient to keep the market churning. What do you think? wana bet gold on it lol?

gold does fairly well you can buy keys for 35 to 40 gold, people buy armor with keys more then anything else. every piece of armor has a Key value based on AD. I think keys are 40k ad something like that. I do alot of selling gold for keys selling keys for AD.

No, I'm not bad. Your grammar is, however, but that's a different subject.

Back on topic: I have an 11.3k CW with full Shadow Weaver and (almost all) Ancients. I'm in a great guild and we run Castle Never and other T2s on a daily basis. I don't die that much. That's why I buy potions. It happens, of course, mainly in very large pulls or on the curious occasion I miss a jump. That's why I buy kits.

I can tell you don't run many Epic DDs. Dying on purpose is a regular event (at the end of Epic Frozen Heart, for instance). And, by the way, I'm not hard up on gold. I have quite a bit. It's not hard to come by, especially if you PVP. I'm happy to take any you do not desire.

    All the best, -JPDG

Some of the vendor items T1/T2?) cost a combination of AD, gold and tokens earned over there.
    Hoping for improvements...

I probably spent 300g+ on dragon eggs today. At least I found it useful.

large pile of gold? what large pile, maybe it's because I mainly play a cleric and they need to use at least 4x the number of healing potions of any other class thanks to righteousness.

4x the number of healing pots?
    You're doing something terribly wrong.

Me use 1/2 or less the number of healing pots/kits of others.
Ever since the aggro patch Cleric is basically easy mode.
Delve loot murdered my TR, DC, & GWF. Nerf Plox:
I know that it sucks to no longer get gear to sell from the Dungeon Delve chest but it was truly overpowered.

well, Gold is way cheaper than AD on goldselling sites, so people buy gold and then try to make it a currency... i bought a bunch of greater health stones when they were 140k on AH and i amassed a few hundreds of G pieces... and yeah, you can buy/sell keys, its just another currency, dropping now under 900AD...

Maybe if you play a healbot this could be true, but if you play anything else then you still use waaay more potions then anyone else. Also that's assuming your GF is actually tanking.

I'm a low lvl CW. My gold has started pilling up, and I know why. I got a cleric companion. I saw how much i was spending on potions. SO I just got a cleric for AD on the market. I went from getting like.. 1 gold a week (I'm a casual player) to get like 7 gold in 3 days. I was like woah. then I was like wait a second what do I need gold for? I spend some of what I make on thread, injury kits and skill kits and I still come out ahead. And then when i need to lvl another companion I have like 70 potions to keep me alive.

also what was that I read about getting key's for gold?

Also, if you want to level any profession other than Leadership, it's going to take some gold. (100 of the higher level fuel costs 5g and you go though it like water.)
