The more damaging option might be to use an attack daily, but then you run into the problem where rogues do not gain AP very fast. Crit bonus from being in stealth and whatnot become nerfed for at-wills in pve so it might not even be worth using LA considering you can lose a good chunk of it's duration if the boss is mobile.
