Got exp for Alchemy Research, but did not get my new level

Is this an acceptable place to report this bug or should it go into the Bug Reporting in-game? (I see the lengthy thread about this issue however I do not see a work-around / fix.)

Based on the information you've provided your issue may be the result of a currently unknown game play bug. While we understand you would like us to be able to resolve your issue quickly, some issues require further development from departments outside our control and cannot be resolved by a GM.

Working through the Gateway, I completed my Alchemy Research. My exp bar is full, but stuck. I did not advance to level 10. Currently have the option to do Alchemy Research again, but do not have the ability to do the experimentation to get scrolls to repeat the Research.

Thank you for any advice you can give!

"Unknown game play bug"? Erm...the 20 page post on this forum (on top of the numerous other posts on the subject) mean it's "unknown"? <facepalm>

Well, I saw it already - I got the same one last week.
There does not seem to be a fix/ workaround. So yes, you're stuck. Welcome to the club.

There have been acknowledgements they are working on it somewhere in the 20-page thread. But when it will be solved - noone can say.

Can't be that hard to fix the bug..or at least to get us unstuck..how about creating a -1xp job, that rewards 1xp afterwards again.. That shouldn't be more than a 10min thing to program, especially if the Profession-System is as close to the DOff-System from STO as I think it is, because they can subtract xp there, there's just no getting back to earlier "levels" (tiers), which would be perfect. I'm like 99,99999% sure, that every updateing of the xp you have would be able to give you the level-up..that's why no other job seems to be bugged over the gateway, as you get xp all the time, therefor if 1 job wouldn't actually give you the lvl-up, the next one will just do it..
