If they keep making changes for all classes and they make it into the main game then I don't know if I can be bothered anymore:(

Why cant you just leave it alone and stop destroying builds that people have been creating for 2/3 months, can I get a refund on all the zen ive spent on the toons that you are about to change completely?

Balancing classes is going to happen in MMOs, whether you like it or not, Baron.

Its only balance from the person who cant compete perspective, I have 3 toons so have an opinion on all of them not just 1 that I don't want to change..

They just need to leave it alone, every patch has nerfed or buffed one or the other to the point that any build you have been creating could well turn out completely dif from your original plan, and with any potential monies spent on them wasted..

If someone said to me 2 months ago that in 2 months time those skills you like on that class will be cut by a 3rd I think I would've played a dif class..

Anything that needs changing that much clearly wasn't playtested properly despite it even going through an open beta, I mean how dense are these guys ffs

Two new Professions have been added!

Weaponsmithing: This profession is a new source for Guardian Fighter, Great Weapon Fighter, and Trickster Rogue weapons. Skilled smiths will have the chance to create high-quality weapons with a new look and style, such as Greataxes for Great Weapon Fighters.
Artificing: This profession is a new source for Control Wizard and Devoted Cleric weapons. Practiced artisans will have the chance to create high-quality focuses with a new look and style, such as Scepters for Devoted Clerics.

If the top end items that can be made are also BOP there is no point in pursuing these professions, just like the others. Too much work, time, and expense to make just one for yourself.

I can't think of one MMO that came out and did not have a ton of changes and balancing to classes during the first few months to a year of playing. I am not sure if you are new to MMOs when they release, but thats pretty much a given. Even in games where they went through a ton of testing, and were then released they had changes. Maybe stick to established MMOs?

Even established MMOs are still balancing classes. Look at some of the WoW patch notes.

People wouldnt care if they had to respec if it it didnt cost real money to do so. And dont say ah you can do it for free by spending 1-2 months farming Ad.

Typically, when such balance changes affect the way a class plays or the way powers work, the developer provides a free respec/retcon. I have read and heard how people have avoided specific powers/feats because they didn't work as advertised. Since the proposed changes meet these requirements on at least some level, can we expect to see a free respec token given to affected players?

I'm not new to mmo's, and I can see that they are ruining the game for a lot of people. They are limiting classes so much that everyone will have one build. No customization, nothing. All fun if all you care about is getting your loot in dungeons. But, not everyone cares only about themselves. Some play for customization, crafting, pvp. Most of those established mmo's also actually care about their product, and don't uselessly swing that much too common nerf bat.

The game is pointless. All they want is players to feel weak, and spend more money on things like wards, to enchant and have higher damage. But, see how much fun you have when your single target rogue is doing HAMSTER damage consistently. Try finishing leveling that rogue of yours, play some end-game, then come back and post again.
TL : DR? Then don't waste my time responding.

Regarding the issue of "class balancing", I am getting slightly worried that they are focusing too much on "balancing" classes for PvP purposes, so they all have a fair chance there. Instead they should (IMO) be focusing on balancing classes for PvE purposes, so that all classes have a role and are actually needed in 5-man dungeons, instead of, say "4TR and one DC" groups, to take an extreme example.
    Hoping for improvements...

They'll probably just release them as BoE then change then a few weeks later to BoP and say they weren't workign as intended.

I finally was just able to log into the test server and the top end items for both new professions ARE BOE not BOP. Lets hope it stays that way . . . We shall see.

That'd be fine, if respeccing wasn't such an obvious cash cow.

I havent seen a single other MMO with drastic nerfs like I have in this, except when Mythic nerfed the Berserker class very hard in DaoC. Other than that it's always small nerfs per patch so they finally get to a balanced state. But this brutal nerfing being done patch after patch is not something that will keep me onboard.

Module one is arriving late, I'm not sure I will bother with it. 5 days after module one is released FFXIV will go live, a game that is looking more and more promising. I think that I will go back to GW2 and enjoy that for a month, get used to the classic MMO interface, then on the 27th start with FFXIV.

I also doubt the zones in module one will be much more open or larger than the linear tunnel crawling zones we have now. Something that has taken away alot of my spirit to play. No exploration is a big no-no for me when it comes to MMOs, heck, ToR felt more open world than this, and many of the zones in that game were inside cities.
