What is the most effective PVP style for rogues?

I am pretty new here, have a lvl52 mostly PVE TR now but would like to start an alt rogue just for PVP.

I found the perma-stealth method for rogues, it seems to be fun, a real annoying, slow harrasser, grinded an alt to lvl 18 going along the guide, but have been told by an experienced player (Sorrow) that it is not so good as it loses too much dmg for more stealth.

Found Sorrow's guide and his build and method seem to be less tricky, more hard hit and pounding.

So i am asking for your help and opinion to decide which way to go.
Keep on going the perma-stealth way or go for the less stealt, more damage and probably easier way?

Or do you guys have an even better guide and setup?

Thank you for your help in advance :D

    It honestly depends on YOUR playstyle. I personally like going with a lot of armorpen/tenebs and running my own set of encounters, rather than following something somebody else wrote out. I've tried all of the builds out there, but I enjoy mine and have the best scores with the build I came up with myself, because it fits my own playstyle better.

    When you're getting hit with daggers, take a look at your toon. See how all of those daggers are piled up on one side of your body? I wonder why that is.

    It's a rogue, they're designed to fight from stealth, hit hard, and hide.

    Not every class takes more skill than a TR to play. You have some serious blinders on.

    Thanks for your reply you got a good point. I am far too inexperienced now so i would like to follow a well made and tested setup first, then i could come up with mine.

    @ulaven
    I can not really see your point...

    I was responding to a post that has since vanished. Someone crying about TRs being overpowered and a "no skill" class.

    It really depends on you. I run a more straightforward executioner style rogue. It works wonders for me. I do great DPS in pve. In pvp I am usually top points and kills. Pros are big damage ... Big big damage. Cons survivability. For me stealth is just there to make me hit harder. I am a confused gwf. More damage less face tanking ability. Definitly a group fighter. I don't have the tricks other rogues have to close distance and so on so I must use the chaos of battle as a distraction.

    At wills, duelist flurry and cos. I know the long animation for DF makes many say it is bad for pvp. If you know how to move however you can consistently stick to people. Jumping is the key. It affords us much more mobility when attacking as we are jumping forward out attack animation runs while we are in the air moving effectively allowing us to attack on the move.

    Encounters are ITC, daze/smoke/impact (simply depends on the make up of the other group), lashing. Self explanatory.

    Dailies ... LA is my bread and butter. SE is up for the random pesky fighter that won't go down or clerics.

    @ulaven:
    kk, i see :D

    @bpskibben: I am pretty much the same now, use my stealth for repositioning, some extra dmg with cos, then a sure crit for my LB. I have a PVE build now, so in PVP i do not really have any tricks now to outsmart enemies well like some advanced specs do..

    It's a very powerful build in groups. In 1v1 it still is powerful but super simple to counter. I have used perma stealth and for me the damage was just too low, plus I fear perma stealth will be declared unintended a get nerfed so I didn't want to be reliant on that. If the pure executioner blender style of build it seems you say you have isn't working for you then definitely check out sorrows build. It is solid, can do decently big dmg, and still has soMe tricks.

    I use my own build that combats stealth builds and i do pretty well.

    PS: Stealth builds are now dead. Feel free to test on the test server... a few cloud of steel daggers drops stealth completely.

    Thank you for your replies my friends, but it seems devs have gotten some nasty brain disease now...

    I started to play this game about a month ago, got a lvl 56 TR now, having fun with it, already feeling the previous nerfs.
    Now they completely destroy rogues.
    Neverwinter team, if you do this i will most definiately delete my account and advise all my friends not to play this game.
    No, this is not a threat... How could i threaten you with this? Surely my place will be filled with useless SIEMURKS.
    Noobs cry when a great player kills them in the most tricky class, company is afraid they will lose those **** players, as they are the biggest P2W-lover moneycows, so they NERF... Pathetic...
    This game started nice, ends with my utter disdain.

    So im off from this game.
