i want to begin leadership profession - but my question does it have the same lvl exp needed to upgrade as all the other profession. because i did tailor and i had like 100 and 200 exp making shirts (in the beginning) and in leader ship i see only 80 for 1 or 2 hours. is leadership faster or slower to lvl than other professions? thanxs

Leadership is the slowest profession to level(except a bugged alchemy, been at rank 3 for some weeks, lol rite?)

This, but it does give AD rewards.

I'd say considerably slower, at least till rank 14 or so. You could buy base armor for many other professions and easily get 960xp/hour whilst with leadership you're stuck with long jobs and little xp. In the end, it's worth the effort you put into it since with a potential of 9 slots all doing ad/xp leadership jobs, you'll cash in slowly but stable.

It also requires less mats than the rest of the professions.

It took me since open beta launch to yesterday to level Leadership to 20. It takes ages longer than the other crafts. You can easily level alchemy to 20 in under a week for example.

^This. Leadership is much slower. Only took me a few days to level alchemy to 20 (I did spend about 300K AD on mats and early completions though). On the other hand none of my characters have reached max Leadership yet. And they've been working on it since I started playing.

They made it slower, it was faster before, with less timing. It's obvious they got wise to the fact that people were milking the AD tasks and making some serious cash with it, so they cut down the incentive to finish getting there to fix that issue. I don't think it was necessary, however, because the daily refining limit of AD was already in place.

Leadership seems much slower than the other professions.

I have been logging in or using the Gateway at least twice a day since 'Open Beta' started to do my Leadership tasks and I am still at only 17 (not that far from 18 though). Remember also that the XP to get to 20 from 18 is AS MUCH AGAIN as that needed to get from 1 to 18. So leadership might well take you 5-6 months of daily task scheduling to get to 20.

By comparison I got Platesmithing up to 20 in less than two weeks, probably more like a week and a half, and got alchemy up to 7 (for the dyes) in a couple of days of intense micro-management.

Leadership is much slower, partly because it gives Rough Diamonds, partly because some tasks give actual EXP as well.

It is, however, the only one that's consistently worth levelling.
