So I've been playing NW for about 3 months now and I have never got around to that question. Can somebody please tell me how your deity can change the game?

Currently it is just a background flavor, and does not impact gameplay, yet.

Perhaps Cryptic may create quests that tie-in with the deities, much like how the racial and class quests works.

That is a very cool idea. I'd like to see that put in.

I play clerics and it seems that when I pray to my specific god(s) that they should give different prayer rewards.

i remember one time in vellosk i was partying with a rogue using differnet deity as mine and he had a special quest to do with repairing some altars. it might have been a race specific but ive got a couple of different races past that point and i still dont know how he got that quest triggered so im assuming its to do with the gods he chose

Sune will reward Covergirl lipsticks for her devotees after invocation.
