Your math is incorrect, yes 10 matches = 100 total players. But 10 of those players were you, not 1. So unless you were a bot 9 times....

Most players won't respond regardless of native language.

Also, unless they changed it recently, zone chat in PVP goes to all instances, not just the one you're in. If you didn't make sure those 16 responses were people in your instance your results are extra meaningless.

I can't imagine that significant of a percentage of PVPers are bots. And personally I didn't see a single bot in my recent PVP play on Mindflayer, though I don't doubt they're still around.

No need for ur asinine attitude. On subject, Anyone who did even a bit of programming can detect a bot a mile away.

You must be new to reading his posts. lol Just give it time and you'll eventually find entertainment in seeing him repeatedly step in it while acting like it hasn't changed how he smells.

i tried to say hi, but chat box is terrible, i am still stuck in old chat from STO menu, i had to "forced" with hit M for map or C for character so i can move my mouse to chat box to change from guild/main chat to zone or group chats, terrible chat format tool to use.

i guess that i have to make few chat tabs, i prefer using EQ2 or asheron's call 2's chat format, it easier to 'consolidated' all the chats in one box, with multiple tab chat options up.

What a dumb way to do a survey.

Most of those people probably just don't want to speak up or think that you are trolling the PVP zone chat

No no no dont bring logic into this. These epic PVPers can spot a bot from a mile away. They can do a much better job then Cryptic ever could so just recognize their brilliance.

Right, like seeing how a toon doesn't use a mount the entire game requires real elite deduction skills.

Nothing changes the fact that bots are ruining the pvp (at least in Dragon). 83 or not 1 bot is enough to ruin a game. I know it's hard but there has to be a solution to this. Pvb is not fun. I feel like cheating while hitting a dummy and it's a huge waste of time for someone who have bots in his team.

I hate to throw a wrench into your testing but, I'm thinking people who don't read English might be mixed into your 'confirmed bots' category there.
I run chat with Zone turned off as default, simply not to hear spammers when I walk through the main map.

What they said. This... 'survey' *scoff* is bad and you should feel bad.

Just played 10 straight PvP games and, throughout each match, zone posted the message "Conducting a poll to try and determine how many bots are currently occupying PvP in Neverwinter, please say HI if you are not a bot".

    I got 16 responses...

I know its not super thorough testing, but you get the point. If you are unable to spot a bot when you see one, please feel free to troll me. But to most, the writing is on the wall...

Those arguing against people complaining about bots either A: Love the feeling of dominating a team of 80% bots or B: Love the feeling of dominating a team of 80% bots and have spent hundreds of dollars on perfect enchants....kiss!

    hahahaha :D
so funny title, now going to read the rest.

I think I can count how many times I have typed in PvP on one hand.

Plus I hide Zone Chat so the only hope they have to get my attention, amongst all the combat log spam, is to type in "Party" or "Speak." Chances are, I won' see much of anything typed unless I notice somebody doing something unexpected. If I am fighting I am focused on the fight. :p

Mostly this. I came to PvP to kick people's ***, not stand around chatting with people.

I have a CW friend who, for some reason, thinks it's quicker for him to try and teleport all over the place instead of getting on his **** mount. That doesn't make him a bot, just an idiot.

Seriously, I don't get it, why are people here actually defending the use of bots, or try to snipe the guy complaining about bots being rampant in pvp? They are a problem there, aren't they?

Your friend jumping around in no way compares to the toons that just hit start and go like a lame energizer bunny.

There's a pretty good chance that most people simply won't reply because they don't care to or even see your message. Very flawed method of finding bots.

It's much easier to just observe their behavior. Bots are very obvious.
This. My default chat options have zone chat OFF! I would never see the OP's message to the pvp map.

Also, for the idiots out there, people aren't detecting bots playing the game. We are actually playing with the bots in a PVP match and are seeing them do their programed pathing and rotation.

Go to the busiest street in your city and yell "raise your arm if you are sure!!!!" to 10,000 random people and tell me how many of these 10,000 people are "sure"?

Amazing. To the untrained eye, one would think I was merely poking holes in your bot-determining theories. In actuality, I was slyly defending the use of bots. Your deduction skills are quite impressive.

For your next act, you will treat this post with the utmost seriousness and reply in like manner, for an astute gentleman/lady such as yourself can clearly see past my sarcasm ruse.
