I was looking through all the monsters, and I found the Rimefire golem to be a great Kill objective. Problem is - the Rimefire encounter has 2 of them! Can you make a separate encounter with only a single Rimefire Golem in it (no others)?
Plus, Singular versions of the Ashmadai Shocktroop Elite and Other big ones would be great too.
As mentioned you have to manually split encounters. I split the Rimefire Golem in one of my maps into two separate encounters, and on another map I split the shock troop group and merged it with a drow priestess by dropping the remainder of those groups into a killzone.
Be careful on what technique you use to split a group. Somethings work in The Foundry but behave differently in the Live game. Like putting part of a group in a room separated from the rest of the indoor map. For whatever reason when I did this in Foundry it worked, but in Live the remainder of the group found its way back into the main map and was just generally buggy.
I find killing things or separating things within the same room the player will be in during the encounter is the most reliable way of handling this.
Have the second one spawn 5000 feet up, the fall will kill it.
I tried that a while back, but didn't get it to work. If I had the mobs above 300', they didn't spawn in (maybe too far from the player to spawn?). It might work if (as you suggest) at least one of the mobs from the encounter is within 256' of the player.
