I tend to enjoy my clerics in PvP, except when the other side has players that can't be hurt, or are doing 70% of my health bar in damage on just about every single swipe they take, or have perma stealth one hit kill rogues, or have multiple control wizards which go after my cleric making it so the only thing they can do are die. A lot of that stuff should be scaled way down. I still however feel the cleric should not have a 40% reduction (show me in any D&D rules where this mitigation comes from), should have as much defense on their equipment as the fighters (clerics still get attacked just as much as they do in PvE and even more than everyone else in PvP), and clerics should have another encounter slot allowing them to have two attack encounters and two defense encounters so that they can both heal and attack effectively rather than being gimped in only being able to properly do one of them.

The 40% should be done away with in PvP only. It would be overpowered in PvE. If a rogue can do 10k dps (arbitrary number) with X gear score, i should be able to do 10k hps in comparable gear.

That right there would even things up i think. I dont agree with having extra spells that other classes dont have or anything else like that. Just let us play to our strengths (healing damage and buffing teammates). More armor on our gear would be imbalanced for PvE.

it should be done away with entirely, clerics aren't just struggling in PvP with it but they are also struggling in PvE with it especially when soloing. The idea to nerf the cleric by buffing the fighters and giving fighters self-healing and immunities was an absolutely insult to clerics.

There is no suffering in PVE for it that i am aware of. If i could get full heals on myself it would be impossible to die in any PVE setting.

then I suggest you actually read the "Fewer DCs Now Than Before" thread instead of merely commenting upon it

Even in an average quest, a cleric, even doing 2.000.000-3.000.000 healing points during it, and avoiding carefully the red areas, you are entitled to consume from 10 to 25 greater potions depending on duration. Last night at Karrundax it took 32 potions for me (we had a 59 lvl and a 58 Lvl, it took some time to finish).

Something goes really wrong if healers are the biggest consumers of healing potions at the game. I dont consider my cleric the best of the best, but I think it is even a little over the average. And even so this is the situation.

I have read it. I am just trying to reconcile the difference here.

Either i am really really good at what i do, or other people are really really bad at what they do.

I can only comment on my experience not other peoples.

It just seems odd that i can excel so darn well and other people can have so many issues.

So where is the disconnect. Am i just fundamentally better than you? I hesitate to accept that as true.

You didn't have a tank or CW? That seems an excessive amount of pots. Most runs I do I'd be pushing to use 5 pots messy pulls included. Usually last or second last on damage taken too, If you sucked down 32 potions the others must have been close to 60

Some changes I would like to see:

    1. Rightoutness: changed to self 10% passive damage resistance
    2. Astral spear: 15% faster casting speed = 15% more damage
    3. Astral seal: damage reduced by 50%, but AoE with 5,10,15 feet radius
    4. Daunting light: 50% of damage dealt as temporary hitpoints in divine
    6. sacred flame: grants 2,5% temp HP
    7. Bastion of health: decreased cast time to 20 s, heal increased by 100%, crits in divine
    [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

    Very excessive.

Does not match up with my results either.

I agree with the OP. classes are pretty balanced. Until you get to 60. Then things just start going out of the window.

the cleric gear at 60 is horrible compared to others and the scale up effects of slots upon skills don't favor the cleric. last paradigm skills may also tip the favor by quite a ways

Link please. Which game are you talking about? Anyone who has ever actually played a Cleric in Neverwinter knows how badly designed the Cleric class is here.
