Jumping in PVP

Couldn't find any thread about this. Sorry if this has been addressed.

Is it intentional that one can avoid getting hit by some abilities by jumping? Typical scenario is someone jumping their way to CW's and by doing so is immune to CC, if timed right. Or avoiding rush from GF the same way.

No, jumping doesn't give any advantage at all. It is just fun to jump around. Jump all!

Jumping does it make harder to hit. Look for a TR named Lil Deej, he'll show you what the jump can do.

TR's spamming daggers while jumping is the worst thing I've ever seen and makes me want to punch the player in the face, actually.
I don't know why it makes me so mad, but it does.

Jumping is also really nice offensively as well. It allows TRs a bit more freedom to move while we attack. I can effectively close small gaps while using lb or ds. It can also allow you to follow someone while using cos. you just chase them jumping and throw everytime you are at the top of your jump.

Ya i hop around all the time my tr. Great with cos as you can chase people and still atk.
Jumping works to give you that extra reach with most tr abilities, in fact.

Also a nice trick when kiting as a cw. Jumping before you teleport gives you a tiny bit more distance. I mainly use it when running to get a pot (or jumping off a ledge for extra distance).

Another hop-based tactic i have is on my gf. When fighting others gfs that are holding block up, i normally jump behind them and quickly spin around to hit them with encounters.

Honestly, hopping is pretty useful in this game. Makes me think of halo. I used to "halo hop" around like an ******* all the time :)

I am pretty sure all classes gain at least a little benefit to the jump/use skill tactic. I have many times use healing word while jumping on my cleric. Also, popping AS while dropping from one of the elevated areas in the PVP always has a nice effect.
