Map has disappeared

Hello, I'm experiencing a problem after a patch (not the latest, I think the previous one). When I press M to bring out the ingame map, nothing happens. In fact the M key now responds as the Alt key. I really don't know what to do, it's kind of irritating having to wander around i.e The Protector's Enclave trying to find out the POI I need based on my memory and pure luck (which is something I lack btw, pun intended)

Any sugestion on how I should deal with the problem?

Meanwhile, I fully uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the issue is still here.

What strikes me as odd is that when I loged in from a different PC the map is still there. Way too frustrating and illogical to draw to a conclusion about what's wrong..
