Platesmith bug. Assistant platesmith upgrade to platesmith doesn't exist.

Hello,

I've noticed that platesmithying doesn't have an upgrade for the profession. You start with a minor at level 2, then can upgrade to a armorer at level 7, then upgrade armorer to an "assistant" platesmith at level 14. However, there is no upgrade from assistant platesmith to platesmith. There is an upgrade at level 15 for PLATESMITH to master platesmith but the "assistant" platesmith's dont upgrade. This needs to be fixed. I have 4 assistant platesmith's that cant be upgraded.

Sorry to disappoint, but this is not a bug - this is by design. You can do all the tasks with assistant platesmith - he is a rank 3 person for the profession. The green through purple people assets are only obtainable from special profession packs as a rare chance. (Or by auction house, of course) This is obviously intended as a way to encourage cash shop spending. You'll find the same thing true with green through purple quality related assets for professions as well. You can buy the white ones, but the upgrade tasks start at green and there is no task to upgrade white to green.

Rank 3 white workers do the same than rank 3 purple ones... but slower, as always, paying only speed up things.

Btw there is a slim chance (Really slim, maybe 1%) of getting a green asset out of upgrading 4 rank 2 white ones.

Please, everyone...get real. The blue/green/purple workers are a prime example of a good way to fund the game. If you have plenty of time, but little cash, you get the white workers and level them up - true, they will be slower, but they will not cost you anything...and can do almost anything the others can - the exception being unlocking the 9th profession slot (complete a task with a 100% speed bonus), but if you are in a good guild you should be able to borrow two purple workers for a few minutes to complete a low-level task ... like the porridge leadership task.

On the other hand, if you have plenty of spare cash, but limited time, it makes perfect sense to spend some money on getting green/blue or purple workers...you get your tasks done faster and help fund the game and make it available to the "freeloaders".

(There is, however, a tiny, tiny chance - probably around 0.1% that you will actually get a green worker instead of a tier-3 white worker - the devs have confirmed that this is intentional.....it is just very unlikely to happen)
