I used to have a kick-*** GF until the june 20th patch. After that patch, my character suddenly started to die in 3 hits from some dungeon end bosses...even with Stone of Health, I would be dazzed or other freeze powers and would just die... I tried several strategies and nothing matter, including using block extensively, and with pretty good unique gear collected in dungeon.
What the hell?
I usually was able to always survive. I can't figure out why.
Finally after 3 consecutive dungeons, I died multiple times and my "pretty good" teammates where still able to finish the level with me watching. I maybe died once in the previous 10-20 dungeons I completed before that patch.
Very frustrating... so I started a wizard from scratch but now I am bored already having to go through everything again.
Can anyone share some advice? (aside from spending $zen$ to buy out of this world gear)...
to me GF is just a dead class, do not shine in any main attribute (HP/DEF), they are easy to play for the first 40lvs dungeon but then it is just down and useless as mobs increases and damage spikes. as a mob magnet to protect others we are not capable to do it. I die all the time trying to hold mobs with me while hoping others to kill them off quickly. we have the lamest class feature "Mark" which does nothing and I never use it, as it comes and go in a blink of an eye and it does not help me draw and hold threat. I would rather to have it changed to a dodge skill so that we can avoid big red circles more efficiently rather than hold block and hope it does not break... many skills and passives are broken and buggy... really endless the negative list... Don't get me start in PVP...
I rerolled a wizard as well and rogue and they are much quicker to finish the quests just need more potions that's all.
Well 3 hits is a lot from a dungeon boss without healing in between. Sounds like you may just be out of the easy content. Things get a bit harder once you get past Helms Hold. Without real details it's hard to tell what is going on but are you dodging the red zones or blocking them making sure the center is in your front arc? A lot of circular zones spawn just behind your shield and if you don't back up a couple feet before blocking they will hit you from behind your shield.
