So why cant we invite people to party after someone leaves, quits, nerd rages, gets kicked for being a ninja or just plain has to leave...the dungeon.

**** happens people power or internet goes out. Real life issues happen kids wife/husband. We should be able to replace people in a group after they leave..... this is worst design flaw with instances i can think of.

This. I hate this SOOOO much. It needs to burn. And die. And get chomped up by Azharzel, Chartillifax, Garrundar, and Karrundax and all of his Dragonling buddies.

    That would be so cool.
When we get to the final boss, we could kick people and then invite our friends for the final chest.

That's why people shouldn't be allowed to kick when in a dungeon unless the person being kicked is disconnected ;) and guess what that happens now too emt_eyecrazy.gif

No. What could happen is that Cryptic could add the option to enter the Epic Dungeon to each of the non-Epic versions' entrances. The leader of the parties that enter from those entrances have the right to kick and the right to invite. In queue instances, kicking should be voted upon, but inviting should also be available. It SUCKS to get to the final boss and then have someone leave.

Or you could say it's the most accurate representation of D&D rules they got right so far. In pnp, if a party member "dies" (can't be brought back), the party needs to retreat and regroup or try to chance it and keep going.

IF there were an active DM that could fudge rolls or play the part of a lost person wanting to help the party out (or anything else a DM wants to think of), it might draw me in a little more. *coughactiveDMing/persistentworldscough*

thats just not realistic to mmos... who wants to waste 2 hours doing CN legit and then have someones power go out right before last boss.... just to do it all again.....

I'm not saying it's the BEST implementation of the rules, or even that they actively chose to do it this way. I agree, it is a waste of time to go out and do it again, but an active DM knows how to adapt the encounters to the situation or add additional factors. You know, to make it more fun and stuff.

Or is it more realistic to say that the MMO theme park formula cannot, should not, and will not change, ever?

Like the previous poster said this is one thing you do not want to be like pnp (seeing as there is no active DM) in a mmo yet things that you do want they don't add emt_boggled.gif

IF this is really the reason then they need a good long vacation!

Edit: It's also pretty clear this isn't working for most of the population, so change it maybe?

    Wait, you guys didn't know?
    Queues
    • Error messages have been improved for queues that cannot be joined.
    • Queues once again attempt to refill parties after a party member has dropped.
    • The Queue UI now has sortable columns for level and gear score requirements.
    • When joining an existing party, players now spawn at the farthest-forward respawn point activated by that party.
    • When refilling parties with dropped members, the Queue system refills the party using the role(s) of the player(s) who had dropped.

They fixed it over 2 weeks ago!

No, but seriously, they clearly did intend to fix it....so now they just need to fix fixing it, one day. Heh.
    Don't Panic.
