Cant talk to npc after patch

    changing format or keyboard does nothing for me

    Click Start
    Start button
    , type intl.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
    On the Keyboards and Language tab, click Change keyboards.
    Click Add.
    use us keyboard :cool: ;):D

    still no luck with launcher, have rebooted several times, updated video drivers, even re-installed it
    and still nothing, kinda sux when ppl can get in and cant play and i cant even get launcher to load

    Issue: NPC Zoey Fargo, does not display text or quest options. Blocking issue due to being unable to continue main story quest.

    tried changing keyboard, format even adding a few, nothing works, wish they'd give us a way to run game as it was b4 their buggy maintenance patch

    In the tutorial first npc has no dialog options

    I had to change my keyboard layout and language to US, all is fine now.

    Except the date in windows is now US format and really annoys me xD

    Yes, the keyboard language thing worked for me too -- eventually.
    If you do this, make sure you choose English (United States), and not English UK (US). It's a totally different keyboard language subset.

    Windows 7, Keyboard set to English - UK: No dialogue showing.

    Set the keyboard to English - US and it fixed the problem.

    Same issue here.

    Might be nothing, but:
    I also thought I saw a "black patch" type of graphical error which I sometimes encounter in other games when there is a DX10 issue.
    (My graphics card is a little older)

    I cant turn in quests either so basically i cannot make any more progress on my character :(

    Same here. I had US keyboard (under the Canadian language). Was getting no text in the dialogue boxes.

    I needed to add the US language. Then select the US keyboard under the US language.

    Odd that there is more than one US keyboard layout with the same name.

    I have this problem too, just saying.
    I added a screenshot of the screen when i talk to Rhix, and even in the L tab i can't access any daily quest

    I dont care how much you guys spend on this issue. For me, you can fixing this whole week. Just take as many time as you need.
    Everything must be perfect, as neverwinter is.

    I found that changing keyboard layout and then changing zone fixed the issue for me
