Alchemy Bugged?

Hi All,

I hope someone can help I've had a frustrating couple of days with Alchemy.

I figured out that you need to run alchemy experimentations in order to gain alchemical knowledge once you have enough of these scrolls you can do the alchemy research in order to get experience and level.

Everything was fine up until level 3, according to the exp progress bar I needed 300xp to level 4, so I ran experiments until I had 4 scrolls as required for the research. I then ran the research but I didn't get the next level. If I hover over the alchemy xp bar it says current experience: 600 and the bar is full. Normally it says

current experience: xx
required for next rank: xx

I was fine with that I thought I just need to run the research again to get me to the next level, so I have been running experiments since yesterday morning until midnight a combination of the gateway and going on line but I haven't received a single new alchemical knowledge scroll.

I am either having seriously bad luck with RNG or I have somehow been bugged.

I hope someone can help?

the bar doesn'tqactually colour in after 3, I'm up to 6 but just mouse over and it tells you how much you need.
The experiments don't always give you the research stuff. I usually have to run 6 or 7 to get 3. also sometimes it doesn't want to give me more until I do research.

But I'm now up to dye packs, hopefully in a colour I like.

I realise it doesn't always give you research stuff but I've run experimentations for two days without a single one! Thats over 20 experiments without a single scroll.

Did you use gateway by chance? I read a thread or two in the bug forums of players saying that when they completed the XP mission on gateway they got the XP but it didn't level their alchemy. Not sure if anyone found a solution, but you might want to check there for more details.

The level 7 experimentation seems to be bugged in Gateway as well. Not sure about in game. I have combined over a dozen with no Basic Alchemy's to show for it. Giving up on this frustrating profession for now.

I have no idea why they made it function different then the other professions. It makes no sense.

I'm right here with you. Alchemy is screwed up and a PITA.

seems to b only gateway in game works fine im lvl 14 now just lvld up 2day no issues
