I can't belive it that boss adds is so hard while fighting. Like the last bosses in Epic dungeons and normal.
Yeah for most bosses the adds are scarier then the boss. I'd rather see less adds and more interesting mechanics. Also trash mobs should feel like trash mobs not hit really hard and such.

As a tank, I like it this way. Much more fun than standing in front of the boss, pressing Force Taunt and blocking thru the whole match while the rest of my team does the real work. Tanking adds is more fun than tanking the boss. Tanking 1,000 adds also feels more heroic than standing still in front of the boss with my shield up for 20 minutes.
There's FAR less adds now then there were just a couple of weeks ago. I think the amount of adds now are just perfect, the issue is that EVERY BOSS has the same mechanics. Let's have some variety here people.

Really? Have you done spider temple? dread vault? spellplague? All those bosses are very, very different.
Whenever I see someone post this, I think to myself, "confirmed for not having run any T2s yet."
The fact remains that all of these bosses rely on swarms of adds. Yes, the new Fury of Feywild expansion bosses will have 'interesting mechanics that don't rely on adds', but what about the dungeons we already have that aren't even fun with swarms of adds?

You know its funny when there have been groups who have run these same epic dungeons as you and can pull them off. There is a word for it, a challenge. If it was easy and every weakly skilled player can pull them off then boredom sets in very quickly. You want to know why? Because if a player who has no ability to play can steam roll a boss then those players who actually use strategy and skills will crush bosses and feel no challenge at all, get bored and leave.
No thank you. I enjoy having a role with my cleric. When there are adds, i have to be a lot more careful or the team wipes. Without adds, it would be super easy for me to overbuff the team and make it invulnerable.

I have to agree with the OP mostly due to the adds. It's just completely tiresome. I'd rather have a boss that's 10x more difficult on his own with no adds than this current "Difficulty = More creatures" formula we currently have. It's completely uninteresting, and very frustrating.

I believe for 90% of boss fights they need to do away with boss adds.

most of the boss fights typically consists of insane adds and the boss sits there (some can actually move) and either one of 2 tactics take place (depending on the fight). Its either kite the mobs or if you can kick them off ledge, you do that.
Wont even mention how 90% of the groups want to use some exploit for one reason or another.
Whatever happen to huge zones and big battle areas and having to use diverse tactics and having 20+ man raids?
As I said in an other thread: Bosses are OK, nerf Adds!
An example:
Let them spawn every 25% of the boss, 5 strong Adds or 10 weak ones or a mix of it (2 strong, 3 weak)
But please stop spawing adds like crazy! Sure, they should be annoying, but right now they are harder to kill (if even possible) than the Endboss itself!
