Different item names/classes - yet same price and attributes.

I would like to ask about items because their price seems to be tied to level and not to real value. Every level "x" sword or armor piece costs the same amount of silver/gold.
It doesn't matter if it's for cleric or GWF.

For example if we are level 24 we find many different swords or armor pieces for our class with different names but attributes are the same. Why is there so small diversity in attributes?

Why can't we find swords which give 400 power and 100 armor penetration or 200 power and 100 lifesteal or ...
possibilities are endless but somehow they are not implemented.

It looks like all level x swords gave same things. It doesn't matter if you find them near boss, wrath, gnoll or orc and if its called doomslayer or just sword - nothing changes. I found 7 swords today - every sword had different name and was found in different place but attributes don't change. Why?

Do I have to believe that in this huge fantasy world 7 groups of strangers made 7 swords with different names but same value and attributes? Really?

That sounds really odd. I might pick up two weapons in a row with the same bonuses, but generally, the stuff I pick up will have different stats. (+100 Recovery on one, +100 Life Steal on the next etc.)
For non-special items, the name will be linked the the attributes it gives.

You will notice when leveling up that all your equipment simply goes up a little in attribute strength every two levels, they go from +0, to +1, to +2, to +3, to +4. There is no need to ever slot or enchant any of your equipment until you reach level 60. You can go to the trading post and shell out AS to constantly raise your equipment to the next higher stats. If you do enchant what you have, you can probably buy upwards of 10 levels of further use out of them since every two levels are relatively small gains in stats. This makes gear very boring, you have nothing to look forward to in terms of gear changing until you are at level 60 and at that level you can buy all the set gears with astral diamonds. If you want unique gear, or hard to get stats and features on gear pieces, this is not the game for you.

I agree with you but we have so many ways to get items - for astral diamonds, gold, zen, seals, iron, nightmare boxes, from bounty hunters and drops. With so many ways to get it there should be as many different types of weapons and armor.

If we had just one or two currencies I would agree with you totally but there is more - much more. There should be some random generator of weapon attributes. If there is none we will have all level 60 characters going in same gear - the only difference in runes and enchantments.

what has been preventing that are the insane prices upon such gear, but it is all cookie cutter and all easily obtainable with currency

Most of the stuff that's cookie cutter isn't that impressive -- the entire game seems built about rushing to 60.
