I think the sooner they institute a 'double lock' system the better.

While I think this is something that should be fixed, don't you think you are being a tad over dramatic? Most people don't trade at all, most of those that do, use the auction house, and a small minority actually trade using the annoying-as-hell zone spam. An even smaller number of those spammers are scammers, and out of those only some of them are going to be successful at ripping people off.
These scammers are destroying the game in the same way that robo-callers have destroyed the telephone. In other words, not at all.
Really? Of all the things you could have picked to claim is destroying the game, you chose something that is completely and totaly avoidable by everyone with zero consequence?
Nothing about the completely linear and unimaginative lvling experience.
Nothing about the unfinished classess or the lack of classes or paragon paths.
Nothing about how the bosses in all the "end game" zones are the exact same strategy (adds)
Jeez. i am so disappointed. =(

Robo callers did destroy my home landline. I got soooo sick of them calling me during a political campaign season several years ago, that I permanently disconnected my phone service.

how hard is it to check your screen? Guy puts in item A i put in my Gold it says right on the screen review trade..... when he lights up his window you can hit accept on yours.... how hard is that if he takes an item away the review trade goes away and you have to do it all over again.

Which you replaced with how many cell phones? Yea the telephone is dead, you nailed it.
And how can you fix that? Its the law of life man, just try to not get screwed, be cautious in your transactions. As many people have said this is the same thing that happened in Diablo 2 for example.

This is because it is a bug that in no way affects the cash shop, so it's been put on a to do list to be addressed "soon" whenever that is.
If it were affecting the cash shop, there'd be an emergency maintenance effective immediately until fixed.

I can't see how this "destroys" the game.
Are you sure you want to trade [Item 1][Item 2] for [Item 3] + X Gold?
[Yes] | [No]
Fixed.
