Is it just me or we are totally screwed in PvP aside from the perma-stealth build.
I'm running a classic lashing blade Dex/Str build with Assassins set.
Current encounters are Lashing blade, Dazing strike and Deft strike
Daylies are SE and LA.
At will Sly flourish and CoS.
Executioner path.
I still have to get a vorpal or tenebrous, my actual weapon enchant is a Brilliant Radiance and on armor is soulforged.
I'm aiming at 50% crit chance and the rest in power. On utility slots i stack mobility, after reaching 50% ill stack APen.
What do you guys think? Should i swap crit chance for APen and Assasins set for Scavenger?
What would you say is the current state of the game in regards to TR's in PvP?
I think, a lot of rogues tend to do (from what I've seen) is they give away their position too quickly. They go into stealth just to get close, and then immediately hit with an encounter blowing their load. I have however seen better rogues where they tend to use up that stealth by getting closer, and attacking with the Cloud of Steel, or Impact shot, then they go all ham on the opponent quickly before escaping once again.
They have a few containment techniques and that should be utilized better. It is about planning, and being knowledgeable of what you can and cannot do.
TR's in PVP are fine mate, your encounters rotation imo is outdated - Any rogue without ItC or Shadow Strike is easy prey for every class including other rogues. The 3rd encounter would be one of your choosing but I'd recommend Lash or Impact Shot.
I would aim for 45% crit chance then stack armour pen till around 2,200 if you can.
Try using itc instead of deft strike. Makes killing cws/trs cake and makes gfs killable . You will miss deft strike at first, i still miss the deft strike to dazing strike combo, but itc is just too powerful to pass up.
Deft Strike is brilliant for quickly getting to the back of your opponent, especially those pesky mages on the balconies.
Thing is, once you're there, you're more or less fair game. I would much rather have it had a little stun or interrupt effect, but right now it's more a lazy man's attack

You're using a starter PVE build for PVP. Dazing Strike will never hit an experienced pvper and Deft Strike sounds great in theory but as soon as you teleport to them they will start running and you wont be able to connect any subsequent encounters. You should mix skills that give you stealth with hard hitters like lashing blade. Throwing knives are your friend.

This rotation is lame. It's great when you're leveling up, but now you're playing against other level 60s with better gear. You need to silence them! Smoke Bomb! You need to dodge their CC! Impossible to Catch! You need something that attacks while you're away from keyboard! Path of Blades! Expand your skill choice!
A rich rogue nowadays is fit company for any gentleman; and the world, my dear, hath not such a contempt for roguery as you imagine. - John HAMSTER
go after soft targets, only go after warriors/gf when your able to 1 shot them with lurkers assault lashing
Step 1: Sneak Assault.
Step 2:Stealth to said soft target.
Step 3:Lashing Blade that said soft target.
Step 4:Run away like chicken with its head cut off.
Step 5:Profit.
