I am curious what everyone thinks is the best gear set to wear for PvP after the patch?

I have the t1 PvP set but the t2 PvE sets have higher stats. I like having armor pen though. So what do you think?

The PvP set is the best IMO. Crit/ArP I believe are the best PvP offensive stats, while HP and Deflect for defensive (with Defense being the worst).

Ok thanks for replying. I was considering getting high vizier for the extra stats but I like having arm pen and crit. The set bonus on Vizier seems pretty cool though.

The Vizier set is great from PvE since you can easily proc and maintain 3x stacks of the buff/debuff. But it is not as easy to pull off in 1v1 PvP situations.

    Okay thanks for the info.

focusing on the Stats I mentioned above + Soulforged for the armor, and always movement for Utility.

I actually believe Recovery, Power, and ArPen are most important in PvP, not crit. I am in the vast minority. On a target dummy, crit is awesome, but in actual combat, I find it over-rated. The most important thing is how often you can get your Encounter powers off--that is usually what determines the outcome between skilled opponents. Even tenths of a second can be the difference.

I like Power and ArmPen better because they are steady--not so much randomness during that critical part of the fight when you are trying to burn down your opponent.

But Copticone is a knowledgeable player and has crunched the numbers. My opinion is just that--an opinion.

I disagree on the ArPen for PVP. ArPen reduces the time to kill someone by say 20% assuming you're doing 20% more damage with it. That's great.

Meanwhile with crit, at best (lots of crits) and with the right feats, you kill someone twice as fast. At worst, you only kill them 20% slower than you would have having gone the ArPen route.

Particularly in 1v2 situations, Crit can make or break it by killing one person faster and giving you a huge advantage.
