Sea Caves clues

Hey,

I cant find the first clue in the sea caves.
Im right at it but dont see anything. I found the book as clue 2 and already beat the boss but clue 1 wont let me progress furthur..what can i do?

Did the quest flip to "return to HAMSTER"? if not you might have to abandon and start over. Killing the boss before getting all the clues might break the quest line.
