Quest item drop/consume with contact dialog bugged?

Hi guys,

I had a quest that I was working on before the foundry went down over the weekend. Before the downed foundry I had items which either dropped or consumed a quest item. Now it won't drop/consume unless I remove the contact dialog. I have removed the weird objects and the objectives and completely re-written them and the same thing happens. In a nut shell items that you interact with will drop/consume as long as there is no dialog attached. Anyone else having this issue or am I missing something here?
