As a fairly low gear-scored cleric -- It's under 9000 :( -- I really like PvP. I have a good round if I have a group who thinks about where their healer is and what his job really is.

So, if your life were really at risk in a battle, you'd think about your surroundings and the best way to attack defensively. You wouldn't just run into the fray without thinking about your own survival, and hope for the best.

So some people just run into battle and think, it's the cleric's job to heal me. If I die, the cleric doesn't know what he's doing. If I'm with that kind of a group, yeah, I'm at the top of the list of most times killed.

If I have a group that thinks a little bit about what they're doing, I barely die at all, and they die a lot less too. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the way the cleric works in PvP, as long as my group understands what my job actually is (i.e., it's NOT my job to miraculously instantly fill up their entire life bar from across the full length of the map when they're in the middle of a 1 vs. 3 because they just decided to take off on their own. And here I generously refrain from posting names. No resentment. No resentment.)

As a GWF, seeing a CW means instant fun for me. Actually, seeing a CW, GWF, GF, or TR is fun for me.

Most DC's are still stuck in the "stand in my AS and I'll be invincible!" bull. They're no fun.

Bingo!! This. Its about me focusing there Healer or ANYONE that is trying to kill my Cleric. He is my boy blue. A lot of time I catch rogue mid air with my bull rush. Back off my healer and sit down. That's how it should be and 9/10 times that outweighs gear unless its a premade.

Yes those groups/players are fun to play with or against... But there arent many people who do that unless a premade...
Not that it solves the whole issue of you getting 2hit trying to defend your cleric if the opponent has full enchants while you have barely pvp set w/o enchants.. But thats another topic now..

i'm the only one around here who like pvp?
i'm a GWF i used to like when i was weak, and like a lot more now i'm a litlle strong, u guys should stop blaming if u dont like just don't go, have a lot more things to do on game, or just stop, i don't think it's unbalanced, DC was impossible to kill, now u can kill they, but still isn't easy. they are done the best they can to balance the game but always will have class stronger than another.

I play a level 60 CW, TR and GF. Personally, CW often lose 1v1 because they're so squishy, and nearly every other class has a means of either blocking/dodging/stealthing or self-healing. If I keep my distance, generally I win. If they close the gap (GF and TR are great at this), I'm in trouble. I try to stick with another CW or a TR and use my team advantageously. If a GF or a GWF gets me in a KD routine, I'm toast. I view my role more as support: Weakening the enemy so others can take them down. If Eye of the Storm procs, great! But that isn't often.

My rotation generally goes: C. of Ice, Ray of Enfeeble, Ice Ray (1), Entangle, Ice Ray (2). For GF, it's all RoE and MM until their shield breaks, then I open up with the Encounters.
