What GWF hate are you still getting even after the fix

You know for a time after the so called "Fix" for GF and GWF I was fine getting groups players wanted to see what the new tanks can do. And I was given a fair chance to prove myself. And prove myself I did. But outside of the players that see how well I handle the GWF there are still heavy haters.

I left Another guild today for refusing to bring a GWF to Castle Never. I saw this coming and fortunately had the forsight to line up another guild with my alt to move my GWF into. This being the 4th guild so far that I have left for similar reasons it is becomeing routine for me and I just want it to stop.

The worst I've got is I joined a Pug group that wanted a GWF and when they saw that I did not have a Greater Plague fire Enchanted weapon I was kicked from the group. Apparently Normal Vorpal doesnt cut it even at 11k GS.

So tell me what are you other GWF getting for hate. Did the patch really fix anything for the GWFs repuation or is it just a band-aid that is slowing being peeled off and we will jsut find ourselves back in the doghouse.

Hmm not really been getting any hate since i changed to instigator from sentinel (would love to play sentinwl but it cant hold aggro for ****). Im usually comming in the top 2 on dmg with little between but thats in t2's atm people dont really have much they can complain of. As a aoe dps we are perfect dmg is good and we bring a few debuffs to the table. I just wish sent had more aggro.

This is exactly what i was concerned about.
Finding my 60 Guardian rather lackluster in versatility and pretty boring (non existant) class mechanics, i decided to go for a Sentinel GWF instead.
I hear they're the toughest mofos, especially in PvP, but they can't hold jack sh*t for threat.

Additionally, GWFs are labeled as DPS in the dungeon queue system regardless of your Build.
So being a Sentinel Build seems to be irrelevant in any aspect aside from PvP. And considering the lack of respec options, i don't see the point in being a dedicated GWF if i'm stuck in a single spec only viable for one aspect of the game unless i buy retraining tokens on a regular basis. This includes an Instigator Build.

Respeccing or dual speccing needs to be a more accessible feature in this game.

Gave up seriously playing my GWF so I'm temporarily shelving it and just using it as crafting mule. I switched from Destroyer to Instigator. AOE damage is pretty great however it is not a good build for pvp.

I've been playing a CW lately... and I haven't died in pvp yet (10-19 arena). The shift ability is too dang powerful. I can literally take on 2 other players and keep them CC'd while the rest of my party arrive as reinforcements.

I did the exact same thing. Wich is a shame, because i usually try to stick to the underdog class and take it as a challenge, but currently GWFs are beyond a 'challenge' to play.

I went for an Instigator build, but i didn't enjoy it. Its just a meter padding build that gives numbers on the DPS meter at the end of the dungeon.

*shrugs* I still rock top dps at lvl 33 with my new GWF. Just gotta use the right abilities for the level range. (and be willing to build 2 rank 3 sets of abilities.)

Hopefully we'll still see you around at 60.

Chrono no! You were one of three of us! I prefer using my GWF for both PvP and PvE. It may not absolutely excel in either, but it can perform well in both, and I'm very happy with that. I have awesome survival (yesterday took out 2 TRs and one CW in PvP), great damage, good movement, and very easy adjustments to powers to make depending on where I'm at, whether PvE or PvP.

Did you go sentinel ? Sentinel is awesome now in terms of pvp and dungeons survival. But you won't be topping the damage meters (which apparently is what everyone is looking for in a GWF). Apparently each of the build paths gives you something good but not all of it (Instigator = AOE dmg, Destroyer = PvP, Sentinel = Survival). I'm not totally gone yet just exploring the other classes and see how they play and comparing it to GWF.

Still haven't touched Sentinal, like at all. I combine Instigator with Destroyer.

I only get hate when trying to get into parties but it usually ends up in people praising.
