As they are currently, I have only seen them do 15 damage per second. Pretty worthless outside of levels 1-20.

It'd be cool if these were bound on pickup and could be traded for an armor enchant that had the same particle effect and was much stronger/viable choice. Something like 100 of them for a lesser and 450 for a normal. Perhaps even bound when you bought it?

It just seems like such a waste of a cool particle effect to put it on a crappy 15 damage per second for 3 minutes aura for only one event.

They are made for the event, use them and you hit more mobs = additional chances at loot. Even I was smart enough to know that.

I'm sorry. In most games I play, event rewards are something you can use, not something you can use to do a tiny bit better at the event.

The particle effect looks nice and we don't have any damage aura armor enchantments, yet. It seems logical to suggest "Hey, can't we see more of this, but actually have it be useful?" It doesn't even have to require trading the scrolls in, as it could just a new enhancement shard added to the loot tables. I just figured it'd be nice to have the scrolls do something a little more useful.

What the heck do you think those Savage enchantment, Skeletal Dogs, & Scroll of Deathly Aura are?

You even said it yourself, "event rewards are something you can use...to do a tiny bit better at the event."

Scrolls help you do a tiny bit better at the event and only the event. We're not going to be seeing full parties using those scrolls in actual dungeons, since it's a complete waste of a belt slot. The enchantments and dogs are something you can easily use outside of the event for gameplay.

But I guess for the next event, the mobs will have a chance to drop a brick instead of something useful. They'll have a 1 minute cooldown and do exactly 100 damage.

I wish the damage scaled with level to make them actually useful..... like 3 per second per level.

This way they might actually be useful. 300 damage per second @ level 60.

So... you completely ignored the 5 words in between those two, which completely changes what he said... He simply wants it useful outside of this event.

the math is strong in this one

    (hint: 3 * 60 aint 300, its 180)

Keep in mind they trigger Tenebrous enchants.

They work prefect on my GF

If they were useful outside this event people wouldn't use them . And then they would cry that AoE classes get all the loot ... ohh wait .

Based on my years of experience with MMOs & common sense, I can confidently say there will be similar events in the future provided Neverwinter survives long enough. In which case, this scroll of deathly aura will be likely be useful in those events as well.

Also Savage enchants will definitely be "useful" out of the event as well as the skeletal dog....or about as useful as companions are at level 60. There's nothing wrong with having a "useless" item in the mix....like party poppers, fireworks, and the robe of useless items.

    Also...tenebrous enchants. Think about it.
