Shocking Execution's tooltip says that it ignores target's defense. So i thought that real dmg from this spell to full HP target would be close to dmg in tooltip but it seems to be less than half of it.
I have done some testing of Shocking Execution and Lashing Blade dmg with this conditions:
Target: lvl 9 target dummy with no debuff
Me: lvl 60 TR with no temporary buff and 2135 armor penetration (21,3% resistance ignored)
So why is there so big difference between tooltip dmg and real dmg in Shocking Execution? Does tooltip count with missing HP bonus?
PS: I didn't forget about balance patch 60% nerf of shocking execution base dmg. It has affected the tooltip dmg because the tooltip dmg before patch was something like 16k - 19k.
I suspect the tooltip is wrong.
Shocking execution's low end damage is actually lower than Lashing's high end damage.
Post patch I've had nonbuffed (No Lurker's) Lashing actually do more damage than SE a few times.
Actually the tooltip shows how much dmg you would do on target with low (probably zero) HP. When you take 2nd and 3rd rank, the dmg in tooltip raises as well.
Translation: SE is total HAMSTER now. Instead of reducing damage gradually and testing the effects for balance on live, they decided that completely gutting it was the appropriate, irrational response....
