Appearance of an item

Hello

I changed the appearance of my sword as I have done this many times before, but this time she lost completely the effect of Greater Plague Fire.

Anyone know how to fix this problem? I've done this with other classes and never had this problem.

    lol how did you do that? I WANT to do this to my armor so I can get rid of the d.amn enchantment effect on it.

    Yes please share, I've tried many different ways to get rid of weapon enhancement effects to no avail. Placing the enchantment then changing appearance, changing appearance then placing the enchantment,... nothing worked.
    Could you describe exactly what you did? I'm hoping it's not just a freak occurance and can be replicated!

    Also hint to cryptic in case it's not obvious: allow for enhancement effects to be disabled

    Seriously, what were devs thinking when they made those visual effects? Obviously not everyone will like them, and the fact that they can go through fashion items is pretty terrible.
    I have to tolerate the horrible soulforged enchantment effect on my Courtesan's Wear that I paid 1700 zen for (+dyes), because I wanted to look good. I didnt think I'd have a bloody weird black sludge effect on me :(

    At least make it so that those effects dont appear through fashion, its pointless and annoying.

    1 - Buy the item that will use
    2 - it enchant
    3 - Buy the item you want the appearance
    4 - Apply the appearance.

    I wanted to know how the back end, and I also think that it should have a way to activate and deactivate.

    Hm not working...did you have the weapon equiped at the time you changed appearance? Maybe it was just a server hiccup that caused it, can't replicate it in any case.
    I really don't know how to fix your weapon though. Maybe inserting a new enhancement will work, but that's a bit of a waste. Best file a ticket about it.

    We need the devs to address this, it shouldnt be hard to add a button to enable/disable the effect.
