If you are not keeping yourself up-to-date on the latest preview shards patch notes then I think you should think again.

I've been seeing mostly negative feedback about the new patch. My guess is they will go through with it then revoke it after they see people's feedback.
To me they look kind of great.
Only thing I want to know now is how much RADs salvage vendor will provide, but at least now we have a way to get some ADs of BoP and old items, which I find great! Glory to AD once again.

Probably a pittance, especially the the refining cap.

What? You could always get AD from items by selling them at AH. Way more AD than you will most likely get from this "vendor".
And if the Astral Diamonds are "rough" I'll just die laughing.

They are RADs. And tell me, how often did you manage to actually reach daily cap?
PvP item value on the AH isn't exactly high as well because there is so much of them in there, so whatever the amount of RADs will be, I don't think it will be that bad.
And salvage vendor provides a way to get ADs for BoP items that will come with patch, so again, not THAT bad as it could be.

Pretty dang bad, depending on your viewpoint. I mostly do skirmishes, pvp, & foundry. Farm Leadership for AD as well. Hardly ever run dungeons. This was fine even with the best gear in the game dropping in dungeons because I could just buy it anyway. With astral diamonds earned playing how I actually wanted to play. My opinion is obviously biased, but here goes... This change does a series of negative things.
First it devalues AD by adding yet another method (salvage vendor) to reach the AD refining cap.
Second, it forces people to run dungeons to gear up, even if they have no desire to play that part of content. I have a lot of fun in the other parts of the game. I have no desire to jump into the cesspool of hate that is 'dungeons' in any MMO.
Third, what the heck are we suppose to spend AD on now? We have a couple items left that are overly expensive like the cat and mount training. But in reality ALL the AD I earned went towards gear for my 60s or character slots to farm more leadership AD. They don't even have anything in the cash shop I really want at this point. Not even sure if I'll bother farming AD anymore if this goes live.
IDK, pretty discouraging change from my point of view.
It will promote guilds with good people cause pugs are a mess I gather. I solo so no fancy gear either..alittle blue but green green is better than most blue.
Well I happen to like the BoP idea. This way people who suck at playing will need to play for enough time, and hopefully improve, before gaining access to higher level dungeons. Secondly, it gives the game more end-game content. You simply cannot get 2mil AD in the founder's pack and then buy most of the best gear in the game automatically, leaving not much else to do. I have a feeling this was their intent all along, to let the open beta have BoE so that more players are doing end-game content and they can get a better feel of how to fix things. Now it will not be in beta any longer and there is not a reason for the BoE anymore. The game is about doing dungeons and actually playing, not farming ADs for gear you didn't earn.
I understand that those who were making profit from this will be upset, but it seriously undermines the whole 'earning the best gear in the game' mindset that these types of MMOs are after. Auction houses can make or break a game (think Diablo 3). It also devalues your own gear's worth by wearing epic gear that you may or may not have earned.
End of story: Best in-game gear should be earned not bought.

No, those that want to ever buy anything useful in the AH with AD they earned area also upset.
