Companion dying easily

I'm using a clerical companion, and she is level 15 the maximum, and I'm level 48. I'm not having any luck with her she keeps dying easily, and I have to go over and revive her once I'm able to get a chance. Basically I don't see any difference from this current patch.

I've notice that companions do deal more damage, though. And that's what the patch says it has fixed.

They may be doing a bit more damage, but they are still dying as easily as before the patch. Nothing has changed there.

More damage but still thick as pig chit. Silly cleric companions standing in the red. Seems to last longer in dungeons since the clerics(and companion clerics) take less threat, which is nice.

Perhaps an increase in the base HP of the Companion would be great. :D

Sorry, this was the emphasis of my post.

They're going to need to do a lot more than just adjusting a tiny bit of damage to make anything except Augment/Acolyte of Kelemvore useful.

I believe the level of the content which a companion is appropriate for is 2x their own level. Naturally, this is not a hard rule and there is variation, but it's still a good guideline.

This means your level 15 companion is intended for content no higher than around level 30. I would give another 5-10 levels variation on that, but by 48 I would definitely expect it to be outclassed.

As others stated, the latest patch makes them do more damage versus higher level content, but does nothing for their survivability.
