Question: Recovery/Ability Score

So, I don't want to focus on any dps at all. I want to fully spec into controlling (recovery). for anyone that has tested this before, would adding INT + WIS work properly? I was thinking of..

Full INT + WIS
High Vizier Set w/ full Recovery Gems
Cat = Full Recovery

I know there is a soft cap on Recovery, but I'd like to "bypass" this by going far beyond that soft cap if that makes sense. Before answering, please keep in mind - I do not care about my DPS or PVP.

    I tried to "force" my way past the soft cap as well, and from the other side, I can say it's not worth it. Once you reach the soft cap, stack defensive's like Azure and Radiant in defense slots. As far as INT/WIS go, it does help with CD's to a point, but not as much as the tooltip displays.

    I posted this over on the Cleric Boards a while back but since I don't think this is common knowledge yet.

    Recovery does not reduce CDs the way most people think it does (that is, 50% recovery does not give you a 50% reduction in CD).

    Recovery formula is as follows:

    CD = CD / (1+Recovery)


    Thus, 100% cuts CDs in 1/2.

    To some extent this has Recovery effected by diminishing returns twice:
    1)For high ratings and
    2) From the amount of recovery % required to reduce CDs by the same amount of time.
