Any chance the devs know how to code the pvp queue to group games by people's gearscore? This random grouping with pugs is horrendous with pre-mades

    Wouldn't work.
    Gear score means nothing.
Tis extremely easy to inflate it by sharding or using certain sets.

What would be better would be an ELO system but that be out of the current capabilities of the developers at the moment.

However, placing everyone who has Tenebrous shards in their gear into their own PvP queue would probably solve a lot of problems.
    xD
Delve loot murdered my TR, DC, & GWF. Nerf Plox:
I know that it sucks to no longer get gear to sell from the Dungeon Delve chest but it was truly overpowered.

this will create new exploits. how? simply take off all your gears when queue, put back on when come in. there are rumors that GS is how to decide difficulty on dungeons, but I'm not quite sure

Queueing by gearscore renders gear progression useless, which is an essence of MMORPG.

There's currently no progression path in PvP.

Considering the gearscore for PvP matchmaking would probably help a little toward having slightly more balanced games, but not much. Getting the PvP gear is quick and painless, so it mostly boils down to the Castle Never weapons. I feel a better way to get more fun and even matches would be to separate premades from randoms, and to enforce some kind of group balance (both sides get a cleric, or no side does, etc.).
Unsure about skills and feats? Check the Master List of Class Builds!

They should have a way to restrict free players from playing in pvp, or at the very least require 10k GS and T3 mount to enter.

"PvP" and "PvE" are not two separate games, and shouldn't be. PvE gear progression must affect PvP performance, if you'll take it out of the game you'll get guild wars 2 PvP.

My 9300 rogue wiht 60% mount regularly dominates pvp matches.

If you want this change cuz you feel embarassed to losing to players like me, power to ya. If you think that GS and mount actually matters in our current form of pvp, your sadly mistaken.

You are HAMSTER ppl, GS means nothing ? its like fighting goliath as david -.- But this time David can't win vs at least a little decent Goliath. Ppl hitting u at 10-15k per skill vs ppl barely scratching u is no diff u say ?

There should be some kind of registry that saves ur max GS at some point and then matches u with similar ppl.... Theres no other way... The pvp in this game is HAMSTER. You can easily rage when u are a dummy for all the 12k gs ppl -.-

Any1 who says its not is a HAMSTER. No offense rly :o

A check on the max possible GS of the usable item in your inventory at the time when you join the PvP fight woudl solve all these issues. Of course this would include enchants too. Either this or it woudl lock your character into not being too swap the gear you have at the moment you hit accept during the PvP game,

Isn't the easiest solution to this "problem" to get better gear? I mean you can PVE once you hit 60 and not touch PVP till you have 11k GS if it really bothers you to face opponents with a small advantage.

If that's what you want to think. If you think because I can easily win matches with a rogue means that GS matters, well ok. To me that would mean that the class you are playing has more of an impact than GS yeah?
