Is there a reason why I got ZERO xp for a pvp match?

I got 2nd in points in a pvp match (so I played all the way through), and it was my first match of the day. When the scoreboard comes up, all I get is some item that's not even for my class as a reward, and no xp (I'm lvl 43). We lost, but I didn't think you were totally deprived of xp if you lose.

Is there any particular reason why I wouldn't get any xp for a pvp match?

    i experienced this once, but i dont have any answers. maby bugged?

    It doesnt always say what you get. For example when you get an item it often doesn't say you get xp, or when you get glory it doesn't say you get xp. You still get the xp though. So are you sure you didn't get any? Or it just didn't tell you you got any? Im guessing the last one.

    That ^^, it will only show you 1 of the rewards you gained, especially when it's an item.
    It should tell you you got the XP in the chatlog, you might have to look under the logs tab to see it depending on your chat settings.
