1589 mb patch closes instantly?

it seems to close the launcher as soon as it says patching that large file, but i can still play ok it seems. is anyone else getting this?

    I read a post on here somewhere that it is a new feature on patching. The launcher does pre-patching now and that is what it is downloading. If you don't like it doing this, supposedly you can go to the options on the launcher and turn off on-demand patching and turn on fast launch or something like that.
