The X button doesn't cancel fuse (why?)

I guess this is part suggestion and part warning. I just tried to combine 4 quite expensive enchants and lost so yeah...

The X button on the top right corner that closes the window does not cancel the enchant.
I noticed it too late that I didn't had a ward closed it with X. Why didn't I use "cancel"? I kind of paniced and closing windows through top right X is kind of an instinct. The fuse went through anyway even though the window was closed and I losed an enchant.

So there it is...

    Maybe because unlike a RL PC programme the Enchants are a magical beast that sets off a chemical chain reaction (RP)..
