Foundry drag and drop major issue.

Just recently while I've been in the foundry creating, when I drag and drop anything onto a map my mouse gets stuck in the top left hand corner of the screen and I can no longer use it.

It just gets stuck there..?

If I alt Tab to desktop, it's still suck there although I can still use the keyboard to access other things.

I am then forced to use Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up task manager to force shut down NW.

I am on my 3rd Quest and this issue has only started happening in the last couple of days.

However it's happening so frequently now that I can no longer even create in Foundry.
Just one item drag and drop and the mouse corners and locks...?

Is anyone else having this issue.?

I'm running.:
*Win 7 Home Prem
*Intel i7 3770k
*DirX 11
*NVid GeForce GTX 670
Also using dual monitors.

I'd just like to note, this ONLY happens in when in Foundry, and only after I drag and drop something onto a map.

These constant force shut downs are making it unplayable.

Thanks in advance.

Mouse cursor freezing? Try Ctrl+S. It will save your quest, and unfreeze the cursor.

Alt+F4 works just as well, and you don't have to wait for (sometimes lengthy) saving

Thank you very much for your replies and assistance.

    Will give it a shot.

After searching online I have a sneaking suspicion it may be dual monitor related.
Either way it's something that needs to be addressed.

    Thanks again, appreciate it greatly.

It is not dual monitor related, it happens when you drag the object onto the stage too quickly. If you drag the object very slow, it almost never hangs.

Right - select the object, and wait a second or three. You'll see a visual effect that indicates it's ready to be dragged. Sort of like when you click on the arrow on a dialogue box to make a loop. The Foundry works a lot better if you take it slowly.

You can also use the Windows Button, use cursor keys to select Log Off.

It will close all programs, but not the system.

I've had this problem occur many times... I think I figured out what it was, because I started dragging the items up and over and it stopped... It kind of gets stuck in the item preview window. In essence, the preview window closes so fast that the command initiate the mouse movement moving the visual in the preview window finishes after the command to close the preview window, hence it gets stuck in that loop, because the command to release the mouse again ends up occurring before the command to lock it up. Other than that, yeah, the suggestions offered are fixes... my particular work around was minimizing it, quicklink bar (I have windows 8), and then arrow keys to select NW, the menu key that simulates a right click, then choosing exit program, going back into it and cancelling the warning to save/abandon changes and exit. Alt-F4 is much cleaner... and faster... lol.
