You can set the sky for any outdoor map. You can add trees as needed. Probably add some blue lighting effects, and maybe some streaming moonlight. You could also add depth-fade boxes to darken the perimeter, and maybe some shadow projections if you need dark in certain areas (not sure how well those would work in a forest setting though).
I would personally set the sky to storm clouds and lightning, and probably use one of the dark/black skyfades. You can also set the weather to rain; rain is in Effects. You can also add wind sound.
I'm not sure if that's the creepy you're going for, but it's certainly dramatic
