GWF Preview Parses

Hey all, LunDeus(Beholder) here.

I'll be doing some parses on my GWF soon as he copies over to the preview server and make sure to post them in this thread. I'll also make sure to post live server parses as a comparison tool. Most testing will be done on the 3 target dummies in Trade of Blades.

    With my gear, SS currently has a 517.18 DPS increase.

    Reaping Strike can only net around 1300dps single target on the Preview server.

    As of this latest patch(June 20th) animation canceling with sprint is still the dps king.

    WMS > Cancel > SS > Cancel > SS > Cancel > SS > Cancel > SS

    Roar/Battle Fury/IBS when needed/off cooldown.

    Hold shift, left click, tap w, rinse repeat. BF when sprint is gone.

    Wouldn't cancel spamming WMS be better than canceling for the first SS hit? Or are you doing the full combo and doubling the last hit?

    Also canceling that way just drains all your stamina and is a little slower than just tap canceling (tapping both sprint and movement)

    Tapping the sprint button is more efficient. Also I found that doing it as lightly as possible lets the stamina regen just a little bit so you can do it for a while. Can you test if sprint cancelling WMS gives more damage than SS?

    You know if you hold down W and S (forward and back) simultaneously while tapping shift, you can "dash cancel" without even moving

    in fact if you do it quickly enough, you don't even lose any stamina

    Point being? The more we take advantage of animation canceling the more likely it is to be nerfed. Its already ridiculously OP if you combine it with a macro script so you can drop your combo and flee in pvp almost instantly.

    It needs to be nerfed because its a silly mechanic and contrary to the original design of an Action MMO. Still though, theres no need to animatio ncancel, its only a small percentage of your overall damage.
