Only need one to cap

Been playing some PvP last few days, noticed one thing thats annoying if you want to win.

At the start of about half the matches ive noticed that 3 or more people rush the cap point closest to the base while the enemy is capping mid. The point caps fast enough with one person standing on it so I dont get why all but 1 person doesnt contest mid at the start. Its annoying having your whole team watch from the uncontested point 1 while they get point 2 for free.

Or in the middle of the match someone will sneak behind our team to ninja cap point 1 then the whole team runs off from mid to kill that one TR and then all stand there capping again.

Im going to assume its not stupidity and they just want the high score for that epic blue item that sells for 300ad on the AH.

From my perspective it seems like if a player needs to camp a tower and they don't get any action for 30 seconds they run off to find some, not even bothering to look behind them to see 2 or 3 enemy converging on the tower they just left.

But I realized long ago, you'll never fix this process because players do what they want and care nothing for stategy. The only time strategy comes in is if you are a premade or actually care about winning.

Im patiently waiting for guild mates to hit 60 (they level slow) so we can PvP together without all the stuff that comes with pugs.

But honestly, this isnt even strategy, its common sense, capping and holding more points means you win more stuff. It shouldnt be too much to ask that people at least have a basic understanding of how the game they play works?
