A simple recommendation for a unique GWF role

The concept even makes sense for the class...exploiting CC.

Two handed weapons are notoriously slow so against nimble opponents it's difficult to land a solid strike, but if the target is slowed, knocked down, frozen, etc, they are primed to take a massive hit. Simply give the GWF boosted damage against enemies under the effects of CC, and we're not talking about the rinky dink 5% boosts we see on most other classes...the bonus should be huge (unless the GWF gets a general damage boost). A basic GWF perk for boosted damage and maybe a class feature and/or feat or two and the class would be good to go.

The benefit would be immediate synergy with encounter specials that have mostly proven useless, synergy with pve groups that would make the GWF a strong party member and put them back in demand, and a place in pvp groups which have spurned them up until now. They wouldn't be overly powerful solo because of their currently mediocre CC abilities but in a party with CC effects galore, they would shine and be able to put out massive damage. The other benefit to this would be that other classes wouldn't be made obsolete by it, since they would still be needed to generate the CC for the GWF to take advantage of.

Of course, this suggestion is likely not even going to be considered by the devs who I'm sure are already working on their own plans, but here's hoping, because I, for one, would love to see a more interesting mechanic added to the class.
