2nd enclave style area

I think PWE and Cryptic need to add a 2nd hub area similar to what protectors enclave is like to A: help alleviate the player load & lag in current enclave, B: would also give an area to deal with auctioneers & postal couriers, might not be bad idea to add a 2nd smaller market -- a mini-7 suns coster market area. this would help spread the players out some and not promote hanging out in enclave a ton.

This is just a suggestion that i think would help the game of neverwinter.

Require level 60 to enter and I could support this.

I doubt PWE gives a ****, as long as they're raking in money. It's Cryptic that cares about making us happy.

But a small town away from Neverwinter with a bank, postal carrier and market would be cool. And maybe some level 60 quests were available, some mini dungeons that require a 2 or 3 man team.

At one point I thought a Castle Never Courtyard / Outskirts are would make a good location / setting for a new communal area.

I'd prefer this to be done in an expansion, In a new city, Baldurs gate or Waterdeep

The problem with this is the ghost town syndrome seen in other games. It ends up the lvl 60 zone becomes over crowded and the low level hub becomes a ghost town. Take a look at WoW as an example... except for Stormwind... all the other capital cities like Ironforge, Darnassus, Exodar are pretty much ghost town.

People would all choose their place to hang out, and then people that chose the less popular place would start to migrate over to the more popular place.

PE is working as intended, I think. It is the one and only hub for all players to get together.

They have a potion vendor everywhere, and I think a bounty master in most places, so that lets you buy a limited selection, as well as sell off things that you aren't saving for the AH.

Now I wouldn't mind an extra postal courier here or there to let me mail or receive stuff without havng to go back to PE, but even then I am not saying in every other zone, just in some other zones would be okay.

It needs one thing... mailboxes in all quest hubs. Seriously .. there's only 1 mail box in all of Neverwinter ? :)

    If there was a 2nd Hub how about Baldur's Gate ? :)

    Lore

Baldur's Gate was a metropolis and city-state on the Sword Coast and Western Heartlands blend, on the north bank of the river Chionthar about twenty miles (32 km) east from its mouth on the Sea of Swords. It was to the south of the great city-state of Waterdeep and to the north of the country of Amn, and was located along the well-traveled Coast Way road. A person from Baldur's Gate is known as a Baldurian.

This wealthy port metropolis, whose population, according to many accounts, superseded that of Waterdeep, was an important merchant city on the Sword Coast. Its strong watch and the presence of the powerful Flaming Fists mercenary company kept the city generally peaceful and safe.

what they need to do is break PE into 3-4 zones so it doesn't lag all to hell.

also clean up the orphan pet bug so there isn't 1700 pets clogging up the pixels

I think ghost town syndrome would be slightly alleviated due to foundry quests sending level 60s back to PE to run them. Even if it didn't though, ghost towns are an inevitability in expanding mmos.

A 2nd hub would do absolutely nothing to alleviate player load & lag, as they can run as many separate instances of Protectors' Enclave as they want. Whether it's 20 instances of PE, or 10 instances of PE plus 10 of another hub, it doesn't matter.

I don't see any good reason to have a second hub zone. Just add more Adventure Zones to the travel map.

It would be nice to have Mail Couriers in other areas, and evade having to go to the one, and only place to get mail. Also a bank and professions vendors would be nice. Not to mention, having Moonstone decked out with Mail, Bank and Auction, and with some more vendors. All this is quality of life type of enhancements.

Honestly if they added another city to the game, it would be something closer to Neverwinter itself, like Waterdeep, Luskan, Mirabar, etc...not some city that is more than 600 miles away.

I would say Luskan, if they were to add another city as a hub. Built-in rivalry, and in the same area. The stories that could be written are endless. A reclaimed Castle Never or Blacklake/Tower district would work even better. Stories revolving around the rebuilding and residual effects of having been occupied by the Nashers/Orcs could be extremely interesting. That being said, a second hub is not what will cure the current issues with Protector's Enclave.

While levelling up for the first time, I was kind of hoping that the last levelling area was like a mini-enclave of sorts, perhaps just a small town or village with an inn, mailbox, auction house, etc, where only the higher level players could hang out.

Maybe the new area will feature a place like this?

Between the general lag, spam, and memory leaks, a ghost town would be a godsend right now.
