No idea how to use gateway or link accounts.

Hi,
When I go to the gateway page and login it says I have not linked with a Cryptic account and to click here and it will walk me through linking accounts. When I click however it just brings me to the Star Trek Online page and nothing else. I do not even know if I have a Cryptic account to link my PW account to. Now do I do this so I can use gateway?
