Sometimes you want an NPC to say something simple while the player is passing by, rather than forcing them to click into a conversation. I know there's a spot to add a short piece of text, but it seems to take quite a while for the actual chat bubble to appear. I've got a couple in my quest, and I'm not sure anyone's ever read them because I have to walk right up to the NPC and sometimes wait 15 seconds for the text to appear.
I also wanted the player looking for something to have to search a couple of items, and and made them interactable with a "chat bubble" basically stating the item was not there. However, after the interact animation finishes, the item becomes static and I never saw the text.
Am I missing a simple command to speed up the process, or make the text readable longer or sooner?
Anyone have a thought on this? I am sure I've seen chat bubbles appear right away when you approach an NPC in other games, not sure about this one though. In my experience testing my Foundry quests you often have to stand near an NPC for 15 seconds or more till it appears. Is there any way to make the text appear sooner or last longer?
