Server transfer?

So, the devs said they would make a server merge at some point, but when?
At the moment im playing for myself on Dragon, when all my friends are on Mindflayer.. i could just buy the slot to make a new character and spend all my time on leveling it, but i would rather that they made it possible to pay for a server transfer untill they decide to merge the servers.. it would, in the end, give them even more profit..

    Why did you start playing on Dragon when your friends were on Mindflayer? Sounds like a dumb move.

    i started on Dragon, got to level 60 on my cleric and took a break from the game. In the meantime my friends started playing on Mindflayer, when i found out i wanted to play again, but they had already started on Dragon. And i dont really feel like leveling a cleric all the way to 60 again..

    There are only multiple shards to handle the launch load. After a period of time the shards are being merged so a transfer system will be unnecessary.

    Development of a transfer system would be, in the long run, wasted development time. You can either make a new character as you stated or simply wait until the shards are merged. :)

    The reason i went to the forums for this problem was to get an answer to when the merge is planned. it would take me a few weeks to level a new cleric, but if the server merge is in a few weeks time i would rather gear up my cleric untill the merge.

    I am afraid there is no answer to that question. :(
