Professional Asset Pack Issues

To whom this may concern,

Since i allot myself, 30 dollars a month for Online Gaming, i was able to buy my first Professional Asset Pack. Here are my results and my issues:

The Professional Asset Pack should yield:

1 Epic or Rare Profssion Asset
2 Epic, Rare, or Uncommon Profession Assets
1 Rare or Uncommon Profession Assets
1 Uncommon Profession Assets

The Pack i received contained:

1 Steel Awe ( Blue - Rare )
1 Iron Needle ( Green - Uncommon )
1 Leatherworker ( Green - Uncommon )
1 Iron Needle ( Green - Uncommon )
1 Leatherworker ( Green - Uncommon )

That is like rolling a 1 out of 100. Technically that is correct, but it's the worst odds yet. Not only do i get the bare minimum, but i get duplicates. I get how there are bugs in the system. But this is real money. This is the only way i know of to take a chance on an Epic Asset. And its 16 dollars.

I personally feel this is a rip off, but your experiences may vary. I would like to know what if anything can be done about this.

I appreciate the game in all its flaws and glory, but i feel that there is an issue here that needs addressing.

This is similar to the celestial coins bug where the purported results do not yield what they should.

Thanks for listening, your time, and most of all a great game,

Michael Lyons

    I feel your pain.

A couple of things to note, however. I don't know the odds, but most of the time when there are lottery type packages available in cash shop they typically have a large chance for a low end reward and a small chance for the big payoff, so the fact that you rolled the lowest of the possibilities is probably pretty common and I don't think it's at all unexpected.

As for the complaint of getting duplicates - that could be considered a plus - it takes 4 of each to upgrade to the next quality... Of course you could always trade them to other players too.

I am glad you feel my pain but this does not FIX the problem.

i believe that since i invested money into the game that i am allowed a reasonable Developer response to assure me that if I were to spend more money on this game it would be worth it.

Right now i am trying to warn people....this game is bugged and we should not give them money until they do their jobs and fix it.

I don't want to have this opinion but i do until things change...i am hoping today things get changed and those affected with proof can be refunded in some nice way.

I hope you agree with me...if not then let me know while we wait for some kind of answer

$30.00 a month won't get you much of anything in a Perfect World Game. And they are well known to have really crappy support. Spending money with PW does not get you any respect or special treatment (most the time not eve a thank you).

I will never spend another cent on a PW related game.

You gambled, on an "event" that guarantees a prize, and you got the lowest roll. I did it twice and got the lowest roll.

Lets see though... that blue sells for about 250k; and the greens go for about 25k for the dudes and ~50k for the needles, so around 400k in all. That's about 12-13 bucks in Zen... and you got the pack for 16... so yeah, you lost out on a couple bucks, gambling... that's kinda how that cookie crumbles, and in the end, I imagine they stacked the odds ever so slightly in their favor (which kinda sucks, since they don't "lose" anything if you win a good roll)... it's a -lot- to spend, and that's what your issue is, in the end, that it seems like quite a lot for so little... and that, sir, is -everyone's- complaint about the cash shop.

In all honesty, I think their business model is "charge high, in case they don't like it, we at least got that much, and will get more out of anyone who's happy with their purchase"; an average $ per paying user, rather than just per user in general.

i just started but basically everything that you buy is playing odds and more related to the things that you can get in one box duplicated are not a bad thing anyway if you ask me base don the things mentiones above my only recomendation would be the following.

since you are now aware of what you can get with things in PW, be sure you analize in where you invest :)
Everything works out in the end . If it hasn't worked out yet, it isn't the end...

Where PWE is concerned "You spends your money, you takes your chance" on the PWE Slot Machine.
(and they laugh all the way to the bank)

    To whom this may concern,

Given the responses so far, and after talking to my Wife, we, meaning my wife and those on this board have both come to the same sad conclusion.

We conclude that based on bad customer service, input from the community, bugs like with Celestial Coins that we will no longer be supporting Neverwinter on a monthly basis. We feel that the Neverwinter staff does not care and just want you to know that we will be taking our business elsewhere.

Thanks for trying, and you can always reach out to us and our family via email.

    Goodbye,

    The Lyons family

I got pretty much the same results from my pack, even with the 'bonus' alchemy stuff. The problem is.. 1600 zen is 512,000 roughly in AD. You can buy any profession's purple crafter for well under that, or more specifically, the one you want. However, the only reason this is possible is because people are getting duped and spending 16 bucks on a 'one blue bunch of useless greens' pack and selling them. I have no idea how that works.

Hi, I just spent 48 dollars
3x profession kits at 1600 zen each.

I got 19 materials out of it.
4 of them was green materials ( 2 iron needle, 1 alchmist rock, 1 cisaille (in french) for alchemist).
got 1 bellow for heavy armorer (at least, i was looking for heavy armor material!!!)
got a lot of blue masters, 1 for heavy armorer, 1 for alchemist, 2 for light armorer, and 1 for marquonerie (french for mage stuff).

Thought I'd get at least one purple, by spending that kind of money....
The chances are low to get purple as it seems.
Makes it more valuable on the market.....

    Its ok.
I just like gambling I guess...

    Good luck with profession kit,
I even think to rebuy 3 more....
NOt that im full of money, on the contrary...

    Mr Gotrek

    Im on the server Dragon.

I have 2 iron needles to exchange for heavy armorer material. (greens)

if you have that, contact me daermon888@hotmail.com
or email in game Mr Gotrek@daermon888

    thanks

    Mr Gotrek

Be happy that you did so well. :)

I've bought four of the big packs over the last month or so, from exchanging AD.

    Twice: 1x Blue, 4x Green
    Twice: 2x Blue, 3x Green
Total, 6 blue, 14 green. Very close to the minimum possible. /shrug, you take your chances.

I see that some vary good points have been made on the mater of gambling for items with real money. But if you think about it....what fun is a game if you just pay money to win? i like to play legit by saving my diamonds up and then buy zen, that way i'm not mad when i get the lowest roll, i'm actually happy the roll to get the good stuff is as low as it is, cause it keeps the price of the good stuff high. Now i'm not saying i have not spent money, cause i have, but i spent it on character slots, and bags. It's better to spend your money on a reliable out come. If your upset that you are getting the lowest roll with real money, than your an idiot.
