Dear Cryptic, please check out warframe.com and see how they have employed someone as community manager, not only does this person lock and move threads, which is all the community managers on these forums seem to do (Is there even a community manager here actually?), but they also communicate with the player base about upcoming events/updates and most of the devs are actively reviewing suggestions for implementation into their game and commenting in suggestion threads.
What this boils down to is, stop feeding us your ****ing useless Zen store items, and give us something to sink our teeths into content wise, listen to your playerbase before you lose this game. Unless of course it was intended as a quick cash grab game, which has been made obviously clear, that it is.
I've played STO for 3 years, stopped playing a couple months before the release of Romulan expansion as I lost interest completely, if that game is anything to go by we will still be farming current dungeons untill December 2014 sometime. (After Gauntlgrym is going to be released, w/e that is.) To put the lack of content updates into perspective, STO went a full year without any content updates at all (This year was hailed by players fittingly as "The year of Hell" (A Voyager episode), and still farm the same borg instances which were released in December 2011.
P.S Slacking off because of the Foundry is not an excusable argument for lack of content.
I've noticed that pretty much the only issues they address are the ones that impacts their profits.
The issue with items not displaying the textures should be an easy fix, but for over a month they haven't even addressed the issue.
A little earlier I found that people can write reviews about companies on Google for everyone to read. That being said, since Google is a high volume search engine, bad reviews will have an impact on their revenue. I suggest people use it as a means to being heard.

I'm not really sure you can compare Neverwinter to Warframe... aside from being different genres, WF has no publisher, just the developing company calling the shots. (If I remember, one of the DEs said something about that being the reason they could do it how they do.)
I wouldn't MIND some more Dev interaction, but from past MMOs, I understand why their devs don't interact with the community as much... (MMORPG players tend to be a vicious bunch sometimes...)

"Participation in PVP-related activities is so low on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis that we could in fact just completely take it out of STO and it would not impact the overall number of people [who] log in to the game and play in any significant way." -Gozer, Cryptic PvP Dev

I fear that word of mouth will destroy this game, and it's longevity in the market place. Just look at their callous treatment of founders and their gripes, many of whom have had their comments stifled, and already left. I see little to hold anyone's interest here who's achieved lvl60, and for those of us that aren't FTPer's, and a void when it comes to addressing game killing issues properly other than ones that impact their profitability... well, I'll leave it at that. Don't get me wrong, levels 1-59 were a blast, if you could ignore the linear progression, repetitive nature, (for any other alt you created) and the level advancement, which was way too fast. I think the fast progression was the motive honestly, to get you to 60 and then be hooked into buying things necessary, like Coalesce wards and such. Like so many others invested from beta, it's a "shame on me" for having faith that a company would do it right with the "Neverwinter" name, which is an icon to many of us old gamers. Maybe all of this will change over time once they find they can't squeeze water from stones, (FTPer's) like the $10 bags, $20 pets, etc...but it won't be with any more of my financial support. See you guys in the next beta.
This game is just a money sink. A place for rich ppl who are bored to spend money on nothing. Watch in 1-2 months you all will forget what neverwinter even was.
I think you might enjoy checking out the Dev Tracker. There, you can see the latest updates from us regarding what we're working on, and what's been fixed. I do understand that there are certain things that you'd like to see fixed that haven't been addressed yet, though rest assured that we're reviewing feedback and bugs on a daily basis, and deploying multiple patches a week to ensure that we can fix as many issues as possible, as quickly as possible. Thanks for your feedback!

You realise Cryptic is owned by PWE, yes? It's the same company as well, developer = publisher.
The dev tracker would be more usefull if you could see the post title where the comment was made in.
Now all you see for some topics is : Were looking into it.
Theres no clue whatsoever what post/problem this concerns unless you open the entire post.
Also a working on issues xyz list would be nice to have.
Hi dez, ty for appearing, i'm pretty sure that's not the problem here... what the player base mostly want is a good comunication, the "state of the game" article is good... but should be DAYLY, no need for being that long, but a single... 05/31 today we are working on this... the coding is complex, the new content looks good... etc... just a brief on what are you guys doing would make the heat cool down 3 notches... because the feeling in the comunity right now is that you guys dont give a damm about us... and that's not fair and im certain that is not true... Devs are ALSO gamers and love their games and want them to succeed... give a good comunication to the players, and you will have them happy.
I know, i know, forums are not the comunity, forums are the internet biggest bridge so all the trolls hide there, but a simple, 10 minutes work dayly post about what are the devs doing today would be awesome, info on when will be there the new contents, for example, or answers on why or why not "easy" things are adressed (trade channels, AH search, spam reporting, etc...) a simple explanation from the company would give the community the feel that we matter, not only our credit cards, please, dez...

Daily is unreasonable. The problem with daily reports is that they end up looking very similar from day to day. Then people get agitated about it. "You worked on that yesterday, why isn't it done! I have 937 years of C++ experience, I can code that in my sleep with one hand tied behind my back!"

I guess thats the issue, you need to scroll/click to alot of pages before you see what the exact problem is, it gets even worse if you got a problem yourself and need to figure out if its already reported/known or being worked upon. (unless I missed the current bugs post somewhere)

It's yet another case of 'wait, they can do that in STO, but...' In the STO forum, the DevTracker at least allows you to see the title of the thread that the post was made in, and its sub-forum.
*sigh*

You sir, are the definition of unshakable, I do not think I would have handled the OP and the tone he presented himself in with quite as much decorum..... kudos! I like your game, needs some "tweaks" here and there, but all in all.... nice job. Thanks you.
I personally think they subject the CMs to shock treatments. As a means to condition them to be able to tolerate forum abuse. Either that, or they are all robots. In a way that would be kinda awesome!
Kudos for the communication. I, for one, am grateful for it.
